Chris McCann signs first pro contract

Following on from the great news of Kyle Lafferty earlier in the month, we end 2005 with some great news of another first professional contract signing....
McCann Signs Deal
The contract runs for the rest of this season then another three after that, making it the summer of 2009.
This is great news and follows the signing on of Kyle Lafferty a couple of weeks back.
Chris is Dublin born and has been involved with the first team since pre season training, his first goal for us came against Ipswich in September. For me though he showed real signs of promise when put in completely the wrong position twice against Watford away and still showed composure and effort.
Speaking about the news, manager Steve Cotterill said: "We think that Chris has shown good promise in the last few months and we are pleased that we've got this sorted out."
"We look forward to him improving as a player during that period."
