Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock has denied reports linking him with a return to Plymouth to fill the vacant managers post. Sturrocks name has been linked with the vacant position on the South Coast since Bobby Williamson got sacked, but has said that he is 'in it for the long haul' at Hillsborough

Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock has insisted that he is staying at Hillsborough for the 'long haul' and will not be filling the managers vacancy at previous club Plymouth Argyle.
Sturrock has been a firm favourite at Home Park after helping Plymouth to promotion from league two and putting them on course for a successive promotion to the Championship before leaving for Southampton.
Sturrock told the official wednesday site: ''I've been very appreciative of the letters I've recieved from fans over the past few weeks. It's been a difficult time but it's important I quash this rumour about Plymouth. I'm here for the long haul. I've got a huge job at this football club and the important thing for me is to settle this team down and get us on a winning run.''
