Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock is weighing up a deal to bring 25-year-old dutchman Iwan Reden to Hillsborough. The Willem II striker has impressed Sturrock while on a four-day trial at Middlewood training ground. His progress will be monitered and a deal could be made for a January signature.

Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock is weighing up a deal to bring Willem II striker Iwan Reden to Hillsborough after impressing on a four-day trial.
Regulations mean Reden cannot sign for the club until the transfer window re-opens in January, but Sturrock acted quickly in bringing the Dutchman to Hillsborough for an assessment.
Sturrock said: ''Football clubs have short-term and long term plans. If we were to do anything with Iwan, it would be negotiating now for the windows, maybe to take him on loan in January first.''
Reden doesn't feature in first team plans at the Dutch Eredivisie club, who would be prepared to let the player go out on loan in January - a deal that would suit Sturrock.
''There would be a fee involved with this one so I would have to make sure we don't get it wrong. Some foreign players don't adapt to the English game but he looks comfortable playing at our high tempo. Even though it's alien to the Dutch game and he does look as though he could adapt.''
Sturrock will look over the progress of Reden until the transfer open re-opens, where a full deal could then go ahead, otherwise a loan deal could be agreed first.
- In other news today, MK Dons boss Danny Wilson has denied he has recieved an enquiry about their striker Clive Platt from Wednesday. The Owls were reported to have made a bid in excess of £500,000.
