Wednesday have drawn premiership outfit Charlton Athletic at Hillsborough in the FA Cup 3rd round draw which took place this afternoon. The tie was scheduled to take place on the 8th of January, but may be moved due to Sheffield United also being drawn at home against Colchester United.

Wednesday have been drawn against Premiership side Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup 3rd round which was drawn today.
Alan Curbishley's side currently lie 11th in the league follwing a good start to the season. That form has dipped recently though, losing their last five matches (they are currently in action against Manchester City).
Paul Sturrock told the official SWFC site: ''I'm very pleased to get a home tie and it's nice to be drawn against a Premiership team.''
The Owls last played Charlton in the cup during the 1995/96 season at the Valley and lost out 2-0.
The last time the two met in a competative match was during the 1998/99 season when Wednesday won at the Valley to condemn Charlton to relegation on the final day of the season.
The fixture will be played either on Saturday 7th or Sunday 8th of January. Sheffield United have also been drawn at home against Colchester United so the game may be moved to the Sunday.
