Mihir Bose Emirates An Apology
Building

Some Gooners, who read my articles in the Telegraph, and the BBC Online, may be under the impression that I wrote the new stadium would never be built. That planning permission would never be granted and that building it would bankrupt Arsenal Football Club.
They may also think that I argued that the Arsenal would be unable to play football exciting enough to fill the new stadium, and that it would become an empty white elephant. That Dein leaving was a tragedy; and the only way forward would be to find some corrupt oligarch to takeover the club.
Of course that is not what I meant, and I would like to apologise for any misunderstanding.
What I actually meant was the improvement would bring Arsenal into the big league of European earners.“I would like to add that Arsenal now get an income of £3.1m per every home game while total match-day income for the season has doubled to £90.6m.With Arsenal now able to seat 60,355 per home match, the number of people coming through the turnstiles rose to 1,615,591, up 54% from the previous year.”I also note, “This is all the more interesting given that Dein, when in power, opposed the idea of Arsenal borrowing heavily in order to build a new stadium and wanted to share the new Wembley instead.”
“I would like to add, “The message here for Tottenham and other clubs with big ambitions but small venues is unmistakable.”
I would like to thank Arsenal Times for this opportunity to address real numbers of Arsenal fans, rather than on some wanky old blog read by two men and a dog.
Unfortunately, Mihir does not exactly spell out what the unmistakable message means for Tottenham. However, I am sure our readers have a message for Tottenham, and it is not build a new stadium.

Arsθne Wenger also said about him after Arsenal's 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion (April 16, 2006) that Bergkamp had:
"Intelligence and class. Class is of course, most of the time linked to what you can do with the ball, but the intelligence makes you use the technique in an efficient way. It's like somebody who has a big vocabulary but he doesn't say intelligent words, and somebody who has a big vocabulary but he can talk intelligently, and that's what Dennis is all about. What he does, there's always a head and always a brain. And his technique allows him to do what he sees, and what he decides to do."
