Can Depleted Arsenal Pop City Balloon?
Spot the Balloon

Although having a bad patch at present, Manchester City are unbeaten at home this season, therefore this does not appear to be an easy game. Ignoring the nonsense about the Carling Cup, since the New Year Arsenal have hit a rich vein of form in the Premiership; winning three and drawing one.
However, things are beginning to be stretched, Kolo, Eboue and Song are still in Africa. Rosicky is yet to recover from his minor injury, RvP has been signed off for another week, Gilberto has done his back in, don’t think of him as 30 years old, but as half of a 60 year old. Denilson is still injured, as is Djourou, and Almunia twisted his thumb making faces at Lehmann. Please add in any injuries I forgot.............................................................. This Web 2 is so good.
Wenger says he only has 14 outfield players, does that really mean we will see an empty seat on the bench? Most of the youth are out on loan, and it certainly finishes off the Walcott to go out on loan rubbish. Well Arsene can only play three subs, I wonder how Fabianski is at centre half?
The squad available: Lehmann, Sagna, Gallas, Senderos, Clichy, Diaby, Fabregas, Flamini, Hleb, Adebayor, Eduardo, Fabianski, J Hoyte, Bendtner, Walcott, Traore, Lansbury.
Wenger says, "We're up for it and we are on a good run in the Premier League and we want to keep that going." That sounds ok to me, but it was not easy beating the Blues at home, and they do have a fortress at Eastlands. Nonethless, as long as Wenger can play the same first eleven he played against the Toon an away win should be on the cards.
Sven has done far better than expected, probably because he does not have to pick English players. However, I did expect him to do well, unlike some, for anyone who can qualify for the World Cup with that lot has to be good. Arsenal have only lost once away from home this season, and it was not in Hansen’s North West graveyard, but at Middlesbrough. Now could be as good as any time to pop the unbeaten home balloon of City. A tip for anyone going up there take plenty of balloons, but only use at the end we are kicking into.
