Bentley I am Man U fan and play like Cantona

The odious David Bentley might be able to fool the lazy media hacks with his protestations of undying love for Spurs, but all they had to do was check out his Icons website. He also claimed that Gazza was his favourite player. The reality, as always with Bentley, is somewhat different. On his Icons site under milestones he states the following:
A friend at last?
"I'm a Manchester United fan. My dad originally got me watching them and the way they played. Eric Cantona was there at the time - I loved him, him and Gazza. The first match I ever saw was Tottenham versus Wimbledon when Gazza first came down to London. Lineker was there too, but for me Cantona was the true hero. He used to step on the pitch and there'd just be this aura around him. Opposing players used to back off him. His all-round ability was something else - he could do magical things. At times he'd just wander through the game doing nothing and then all of a sudden he'd pop up and score a wonderful goal.
I'd always try to model myself on him, imitate the surprise element to his game." Modest as ever Bentley concludes: "What I try to do on the pitch is similar to Eric's old role - I create, I score and I entertain the crowd."
Bentley is as deluded as ever, he is nowhere near as good as Cantona or Gazza, but he sure is good at talking himself up.

Where's the reference to undying love as a youngster to Spurs? Thought he stated more his friends are season ticket holders and he always had a soft spot for us.

Lineker was one of the greatest poachers of the penalty box, completely different players. Is that simple enough for you to understand ? I can do a version with pictures or pop-ups if you like ? Maybe Padre could read it to you before your bed time.

Bentley and the spuds are a perfect match.
They are both highly deluded and both are mediocre at best.

People, to play like Cantona or Gazza, the first think you need is a "football brain"....not Cantona's loud-mouth or Gazza's self-destructive life-style.
I do hope he play like Cantona and Gazza:
- Cantona "Kungfu kicking" Arsenal ball boys at Emirates
- Gazza 2-foot lunge on EBoue to tear his cruciate ligaments.

Nobody can injured EBoue. He is all steel.
And that is why that c*nt will suffer ankle break or torn knee if he 1-foot tackle EBoue or Fabrgeas..which I can almost guarantee he wil do it to wind Arsenal fans.
He will go in hard at Vela, Walcott, Nasri, Fabregas, Denilson, CLichy and ROsicky to show who is Boss on the pitch.

Didn't Gazza play before Cantona ? In fact, Gazza left Spurs in the same year Cantona joined Man Utd.
Maybe Gazza was his fave player, then Cantona eclipsed his love for Gazza becoming his new fave player.
That would allow Bentley to say growing up Gazza was my fave player, and Cantona is my favourite player ever he is the ultimate etc etc.
Anywhos . . . I am most concerned about how he conducts him on the pitch for now, time will tell
