I can't be bothered to write a serious report on this match, conceding two goals in five minutes was just unbelievable. Funny enough I wasn't that bothered, I had predicted two-two, but lost three points on the prediction league due to Eduardo's knee.
I knew we would let in goals as this team is incapable of keeping a clean sheet. A team with Mannone and Clichy (in present form) even less so. In fairness to Mannone none of it was his fault, Gallas, Eduardo and Clichy were the main problem.
Anyhow I said I would wait ten games to make my full judgment. The team had a tired and jaded look, internationals, and three games away in a row has taken its toll. Also two stiff qualifier games means the team has played more football than the rest. Can you imagine how old Red Nose would carry on if his team had such a fixture list?
Senderos/Ljungberg love child?
Hopefully a few weeks without International breaks and away games in a row will help Arsene sort things out. We will soon find out if the defensive problem is a confidence thing or not. You can't blame the defence for the first goal it was purely a midfield mess up.
Secondly Song seems to be sliding back to his old ways. On the plus side Nik scored a really classy goal from an excellent Diaby pass. Rosicky also had a good game. Vermaelen looks madder than Keown by the day, and has a nose for goal. He was my man of the match, he loves to attack and unlike Toure knows where the net is, and is a far better tackler.
And those Arsenal fans moaning on about handball, offside etc - give us a break. Man City scored an offside goal against us last week. Standard Liege had a penalty that looked less likely than the one Eduardo won against Celtic. I look forward to the campaign against diving.
So let's stop being goody two sports and enjoy the breaks when they come. Against Man U we played well and lost, last night we were poor and won. I have no illusions in this squad, but that's no reason for not enjoying what was a wonderful comedy of errors, and for once the other side made more errors than us. There was never much riding on this, the group is so poor that Arsenal will be able to give most of the group two goal starts and win.
Besides how could you not laugh for when Nicaise came on I could swear he was the offspring of Senderos and Ljungberg.

Then the penny dropped
when we play ok and have bad luck and lose v city they again say the result is all that matters
when we play poorly and have a piece of luck v liege they then tell us its not on playing poor no matter what the result
Some have even gone as far as to say liege are some sort of mickey mouse outfit, belgian postmen, worste side in cl, never mind that they were unlucky to lose to liverpool in the cl last season and that they beat everton in the eufa cup last season,
a win is a win is a win
Hopefully we will get confidence from it.
By the way those reading too much into Fabregas display should know he played with badly gashed leg from the thuig Adebayor
Im happy we won had we been against a deent team we would not,we lost at Manure because of two unproffesional errors and at Man city because we defend poorly,simples.
Im all for taking a step back and looking to see where we can improve but not taking into account real world considerations is just as blind as thinking we are going to be quadruple champions by the end of the season.
Maybe I would not feel the need to make points if I didnt see people telling me all is well and we are EPL/CL contenders because frankly that flies in the face of what Im seeing,
If that makes me a doom monger or a Grass is greener then so be it,but its my opinion,things need freshening up at Arsenal.
conceding 2 goals in 5 minutes just sums up whats wrong with the formation and the personnel implored to play in that formation.their attention span is slow and their concerntration level is another ball game.
i still don't understand whats going on between the board and wenger.
If players cant or wont learn (and some of ours seem incapable of doing so) they should not pull a shirt on for us again.
Same old story we dominate get caught on the break,now either its players who are not capable or coaching is not good enough,but if you aspire to be the best(as I assume we do)that cant be tolerated,and it is.

Bit harsh. A benching for a good few games should suffice provided the understudy doesnt eclipse him.
