Big Sam has Arsenal sussed; hence he has conceded 10 goals and scored two against Arsene Wenger's overseas fancy dans during his time at Blackburn.
But having been beaten 6-2 you won't catch Big Sam moaning about the referee; unlike the garlic crunching Wenger.
After the 6-2 defeat Big Sam said:

Bitter and twisted?
Allardyce stormed: "I don't want to detract from Arsenal but it was a blatant penalty.
"There is no doubt in my mind that the position of the referee was excellent. He just didn't, unfortunately, give the decision in our favour."
"In the big pressure pot that is this league, you have got to get the major decisions right otherwise you don't stay in this league too long, not as a manager or a player, so as a referee you have got to be judged the same."
"That decision wasn't good enough for me today and it had a major effect on the course of this game."
Allardyce added: "I try not to say too much publicly and say it through the system, but unfortunately the system is not working.
"So I have to be heard and people may say it is bitter or twisted, but I know I am 100% right because I am very professional in what I do.
"I research everything and [referees boss] Keith Hackett knows I am right."
Allardyce felt if the decision had gone Blackburn's way, then the visitors could well have got something from the game.
He said: "At that particular stage you would see us getting a penalty, probably scoring it, them going down to 10 men - because it is a red card for stopping a goal-scoring opportunity - and the balance swings in our favour." Sun Online 04 October 2009

Sam your team were not on the same planet as this Arsenal performance, yet alone in the same league. You had the feeling that whatever total Blackburn scored the Gunners would score even more.
Rovers went ahead twice, but were incapable of holding a lead. Once Arsenal got to 2-2 the writing was on the wall, and at 3-2 the obituaries were being written.
This was vintage Wenger ball, movement - box to box action. One Cesc pass to Walcott - goal! Cesc to Arshavin, 50 yard run beat several defenders, back to Cesc, Fabregas to van Persie - goal. It was fantasy league football, especially if you have Cesc in your fantasy team. Four assists and a goal - still worried about him?
It was fantasy football alright, eight goals not one scored by the same player. Nearly a new record but that was achieved over at Tottenham with a 5-4 victory.
Missing Adebayor?
Games involving Arsenal have been averaging nearly 5 goals a match, this game reached 5 goals before the end of the first half. This team has now scored 24 goals to ten against; it has scored more than Liverpool, Man U and Chelsea. True it has conceded slightly more than the top two but has conceded less than Liverpool, indeed the team has the best goal difference in the league and is back in 4th with a game in hand.
Why would the Gunners need a greedy lazy lump who was offside for half the match? What would he add exactly?

Henry got a great reception from the crowd ten minutes before the game started, and his name was sung out in the second half. Perhaps the players were trying to impress him. Would he make a good coach? Well he wouldn't put up with losing half as sanguinely as Arsene does. Anyhow the Arsenal legend certainly saw some wonderful goals, many of which he would have been proud of, actually he would have been proud of every one. Let's hope he turns up more often.
Every goal came from exquisite passing and was even more exquisitely hit home. It was teamwork and forward passing that destroyed Trotters Mark 2.
Meanwhile Cesc was the puppet master - pulling every string and orchestrating the whole onslaught. The rapier is mightier than the hob nail boot. Superior skill does work.

well could be the team wanted to impress henry.mmmmmmm perhaps he can be a great coach for the gunners but being such a perfectionist i really doubt that. all i can say is Henry should visit more often since he can inspire the boys to produce such a wonderful attacking football with great goals.
i guess cesc has silenced some critiques who questioned him game after game. that was top class from a classy player.his passes are to die for.
I'm Glad RVP has found his scoring touch.
As for Vermaelen; this guy is a dream buy and an excellent goal scorer.will he over take terry and vidic's goal scoring record.at this rate he will.

also anyone else laugh when fat sam would not look at wenger after the game when shaking hands with him, plus it looked like his fat head was about to explode
by the way spuds have never won in the epl at bolton yet you never hear about it being a bogey team for them
am I wrong to thing that replays show vermaelen actually got slight touch of the ball on the dunn incident, it rolled across his boot
the boget team thing is absolute nonsense.
Plus we defeated him when he was Newcastle manager.
i am not sure if he ever beat us at Arsenal either.
John Gregory - that well known sage and managerial success - thought that Dunn had every right to - wait for it - 'let the keeper know he was there.'

Fat sam has an inferior complex against Chelsea and Man Utd which you can see from his comments. This is why I hate losing to teams like his- ever- under any circumstances- it makes him think that he's worked you out and it gives him and others belief in their set pieces brand of total football to think it is possible to beat us with it. Fools like him that propagate this belief, that we can't beat chelsea or man utd but we can beat arsenal is the problem with football in this country. Teams line up against man utd and chelsea beaten in the mind, before a ball is even kicked, I wish teams did the same against us.
These days big Sams teams are beat by us before they turn up.
Dont believe the hype - they are no bogey team. They wont be cocky after 6-1 thrashing and 4-0 last season
