Handbrake, Engine off, Reverse, Rev up, Top Gear, Accelerate
By Boris Mellor

I am sure that Arsene, who is fond of motoring metaphors, could describe the match against Liverpool as handbrake on, engine off, in reverse, rev up, top gear, foot down, wheelie. Certainly the first half was a very cautious affair with not only the handbrake on, but with a lot of back passing and certainly the engine hardly used.
However, I am not complaining, indeed I went in at half time quite chipper, not just because it was so good to get back into the warm, but because we hadn't conceded two goals in the first 45 minutes for what seems a very long time, not only that but every one of the top four were drawing.
In the second half the crowd started doing their Thomas the Tank Engine impression, you know the one Thomas is struggling to get up hill; its slightly adapted and they go Come on Arsenal, Come on Arsenal, Come on Arsenal Come on Arsenal Come on Arsenal Come on Arsenal. On a cold night it makes the stadium seem more dreary than it really is, but it seem to work and the team finally switched the engine on, took off the handbrake, engaged top gear and put their foot down.
Indeed they almost seemed to career out of control and Wenger feared a recall by Toyota any minute. Rafa had read that Arsenal are predictable so he packed the defence, his team also tried to hit the Gunners on the break, but they lack the ruthlessness of a Chelsea or Man U, so even Almunia was able to stop them.
Meanwhile Rosicky who had missed a sitter was having the value of his wages questioned by some of the crowd - how much are they paying you, one guy, probably his father, mocked. But when the little dumpling gave a most beautiful cross for Diaby to head in, at the right end this time, no one shouted out "he is worth every penny", that's dads for you, only go on about your faults.
Liverpool hadn't conceded for seven games, I heard somewhere, but when they did it was a header from Arsenal. Funny old game.
Then Arsenal pushed on for a second goal, and I began to wish we wouldn't, Rafa was going to catch us on the break, but no we pushed them so far back they couldn't break away.
Then just as the referees assistant started to raise the added time board the bloke next to me decided to jinx it, he turned round and said "well a wins a good result", as he said that the board went up flashing four minutes. The nightmare of losing 2-1 at Anfield came flooding back, it was 1-1 with minutes to go and a mate said oh well a draw's a good result, and at that instance some bloke who has never been seen or heard of since scored a wonder goal from 30 yards out.
Oh no they are going to equalise flashed through my fevered brain, and sure enough some English bloke who never dives won a dodgy free kick on the edge of the area. Fortunately Fabregas showed that he is not only a great midfielder, but he is also a great goalkeeper. The crowd celebrated, was it a penalty? Well the ball was outside the area, but I don't care, Liverpool have had plenty of luck against us in that department.
So Arsenal have now won one more game against the top four teams than Man U did last season, but I am not getting carried away, without Torres Liverpool are even more ordinary than Arsenal without RvP, Eduardo and Bendtner combined.
To cap off the evening the crowd were cheered by news that Chelsea and Spurs lost and that Man U drew. This was Arsene's 300 league win, and I think it was the 966 goal in Premiership. Could he make it 1000 goals by the end of this season?

And that f**kign Honda airbag....that whenever Arsenal was accelerating and on the up..WHAM!! BANG!! airbag inflaetd and derailed our title challenge again..@#$%^&*
Fingers crossed...like Toyota and Honda, pray that Arsene Wenger had resolved all those "teething" issues and that we had bottomed and the only way out is up..up...up...up....
Failure is an option no more.

Plus the Engine is out of sync and needs re-tuning.
Wenger forgot this during the last servicing.
To save a few pounds, he forgo wheeling balancing, did nto change engine oil, and alignment check for the steering wheel.
Now is the time for Wenger to recheck the wheel balance to avoid uneven tire wear which cause the steering system to drift, oversteer and understeer...and never travel in a striaght line without continuous steering correction.
Time to replace the mineral ENGINE oil with high-grade synthetic engine oil for a higher performance engine.
Of course, it is too late to completely replace the ENGINE.
Just a major overhaul suffices for the next 3 months.
Pity that sets of spark plugs are worn out and need to be replace.
Hopefuly this set of new SPARK plugs, with a newly tuned engine, syntehtic oil, wheel newly balanced, steering gears adjusted and re-aligned....will give smoooth acceleration and a comfy ride for the next 3 months..before another servcing stop.

Wenger: "Non! Non! It is worth only 80 pounds!!!"
Garage: "Sorry, no deal."
For want of an extra 20 pounds, Wenger preferred to self-service and spend nearly the whole day, cleaning, waxing his car, incluidng paying taxi service to collect his car.
Whereas his competitors had already driven off their newly serviced and gleaming cars, making out with their chicks and spending quality tiem in bed, rather than loveingly waxing and cleaning their cars for hours.
Wenger's policy is I will rather not screwed than be screwed.
Whereas his competitors' policy, f**Ked if you screwed me, but I will still enjoy that much more screwings I will get for the small price of being screwed by you to attract all those babes.
Big risk, big gain.
No risk, no babes.
