Chelsea Rope Arsenal Dopes Yet Again: Perspective

Watching Arsenal play Chelsea is as predictable as watching Tweety Pie cartoons,when the music starts you know that however hard the cat tries the pesky Canary wins, its in the script. However, Wenger and his team are like innocent youngsters watching the cartoon cat for the first time, certain that logic determines that the cat, or in Arsenal's case, the allegedly more skilful team, will win.
Yet in spite of all the pin-point passing and having more possession it’s the opposition that wins. Wenger could leave his post match comments on a permanent loop as he bemoans the failure to take chances is rued yet again. It’s true that Arsenal aren’t bullied out of these games, Chelsea don’t have to bully Arsenal. Chelsea watch Arsenal miss chance after chance knowing that the glass chinned defence of the Gunners will eventually crack. They rope the dope, and it works every time.
Even with Fabregas and RvP playing, Arsenal’s firepower finds it hard to break down Chelsea’s defence. Without them it is an even more daunting task, once again the team is exposed as lacking in the striker department when playing quality opposition.
Wenger says that Chelsea will drop points, very true, the only problem is that when Chelsea last dropped points so did Arsenal, and even worse, at home.
Perspective
Of course it’s too early to say that this match will settle the league, but Wenger said before the game it would tell us something about the strength of his team. However, a comparison of Arsenal’s record over the last three games with the other three CL challengers might tell us a little more. The Gunners have 1 point out of nine, Manchester United have 5 out of 9, Chelsea have 6 out of 9, and Spurs 6 out of 9.
In the same period Chelsea conceded 1 goal, Spurs 3 goals, Manchester United 4, and Arsenal 6. True, it’s only a snapshot, and it’s a snapshot of a time when all teams in the CL dropped points. Unfortunately Arsenal dropped far points more than the rest.
Wenger talks about the possibility of benefitting when his rivals drop points, the only team to have benefited, so far, is Manchester City.
Of course if Arsenal play like they did at Stamford Bridge against lesser teams than Chelsea then they will win games, but that poses the question what is a lesser team? After all even Man U struggle against the Sunderlands, and Birminghams these days. If you can’t beat any of the super league of Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd then you must consistently beat those below you.
With international breaks still to come, and away games after CL fixtures beating “lesser teams” may not prove to be as simple as saying it.
Its early days, but my feeling is that this squad will struggle to stay in the top four unless it is strengthened in January with at least a 25 goal a year striker, and a top class keeper. The one plus about the match against Chelsea is that Wilshere proved to be a great talent against the toughest opposition.

when i saw the line up i thought we would loose by 4 goals...wenger should face it...even if you beat a dead horse, it's dead and can't do anything...
wenger really amazes me... even if we scored from the chances we created could we have with stood a chelsea onslaught.

SInce the last 2 seasons, why can't we score?
30+ mil will get a quality goalie.
And why is out total wage bill is only 22-mil behind CITEH?
WHat sort of rubbish we are having in the team with a wage bill that is only 22-mil less than CITEH....with even Adebayor on 170,000 pw and Yaya on 220,000 pw?

So it’s official, our wage bill is only £22mil lower that Man City’s, how can that be? They are a team of big name stars, Ade for instance went there on £180k a week and YaYa on £200k a week, almost their whole squad was bought, they have too many players and we have kids and a wage structure. So how on earth can we only be that much short of what they pay???
Now I’d like the know-alls with the figures to tell me how that’s possible. Someone asked what the £55mil in other expenses were, I think it was a way around paying people like me a dividend, it’s why Gazidas and Wenger are happy to win @#$%& all, if I’m wrong, perhaps Arsenal can enlighten us today.

1) Footballers wage bill + non footballers wage bill, then probably 2nd component will be the one of the highest in the world for Arsenal.
That justifies the high wage bill for Arsenal..
