Part 5 of Celine Dion's survey deals with the future. Should Wenger stay or go? Who would replace him, this question also applies to some players.His survey starts with he player we least want to leave, its not hard to guess the answer to that.If you missed the other sections of the survey then clink on the links beneath this article.

The FUTURE
Player We Least Want to Leave Arsenal
Well, it wasn’t a clean sweep, but that’s because one of you had clearly ingested new fangled designer drug ‘bath salts’ before filling in their survey, voting for Tomas Rosicky, and another couple of long termists, voted for Jack WIlshere. But the rest of you voted RVP, in one of the safest bets of the round.

Of course, I would have looked pretty silly if he hadn’t won the above category, but he did. So this section gives us the opportunity to explore our other concerns about possible departures. Jack Wilshere is the man we worry about the most, but in a development that will no doubt have forum regular Peter Storey spitting with rage and writing another diatribe about meat, Alex Song comes in a very close second as the player we want least to leave. Then it’s Koscielny, who seems to have shot up the general pecking order this season, then the OX, Rosicky again (!) and lovely little Theo Walcott, who from what I am reading, might be about to do just that.
Player We MOST Want to Leave the Club
WELL! My favourite section, and what a lot of answers. There are no rules here, you just get the rather cathartic opportunity to write a great big list of all the players you don’t like. And some of you did just that, writing reams and reams of names, almost the entire first team squad in fact. Acne-faced one man disaster zone Sebastien Squillaci comfortably carries off the main prize, getting a vote from everyone who entered. Then it’s time for chain smoking non-event Marouane Chamakh. Proving that their inept performances still live long in our minds, some players got massive votes despite having been out on loan for the entire season, step forward pint sized sideways passing merchant Denilson, and the Worlds best striker, Niklas Bentnder. In one of the only things he has appeared in all season, Park comes next in our survey, then its Almunia, Djourou, ‘prancing’ Carlos Vela, and in what will be heartening for him in view of some of his past totals in this category, good old Lukas Fabianski. Of the players that would be regarded as first team regulars, Aaron Ramsey comes pretty high up as well.
Should Wenger leave this Summer?
Basically, apart from a couple of old stagers who still insist that he should have left years ago, it’s a vote of confidence for the man. This time last year, 30% wanted him gone, this time he’s clawed it back to 20%, with a healthy number of the 80% that want him to stay, electing the ‘ARE YOU MAD’ response that was available to them, in order to demonstrate displeasure at even being asked the question.
Top Three Players We Would Most Like Arsenal To Sign
People really went to town here, giving me little resumes’ of each player in order to justify their choice. I wish I could show them all here, I really do, but instead they will have to live on forever, inside my lap top. In order to make this as in depth and thorough as possible, I instigated an elaborate scoring system where your most popular choice gets 3 points, the second 2, and so on. For the record, people who voted for Ronaldo and Messi did not get counted, because this is for sensible suggestions.
The eventual list read as a rogues gallery of traditional newspaper transfer targets. M’Vila wins, then there’s a dead heat of four names, Shinji Kagawa, Mario Gotze, Eriksen again, and finally, despite his apparent fondness for Tottenham Hotspur, Jan Vertonghen. Good old Eden Hazard comes in third. Of the more inventive names, we had Ben Arfa, Gokan Inler, Chiellini, Nuri Sahin, Dempsey, and the rather unlikely Mezut Ozil. Very few defenders mentioned this year, which is surely a gesture towards Wengers’ improvement in this area of the team. Interestingly, and as if to prove how fleeting this kind of thing is, not one of the players who featured last year, made a repeat appearance this year.
Tottenham Player We Would Most Like In Our Team
Obviously, some of you cannot bring yourselves to vote here. But for those that did, it’s a turnaround this year, as Gareth Bale nips ahead of last year’s winner Luka Modric. Whereas last year quite a few players got votes, this year the other alternatives mentioned, limit themselves to Van Der Vaart, and the full backs Assou-Ekotto and Kyle Walker.
Manager We Would Like to See At Arsenal if Wenger Leaves
Well, we still have a rather high opinion of our club, don’t we. Then again, I suppose he is available, unlike last year. Pep Guardiola romps home here, with more than 50% of the votes, ahead of Jurgen Klopp, and Brendan Rogers, who has since joined Liverpool. There aren’t many other interesting answers, we get a Mourinho, a couple of Martinez’. Notable that Villas Boas, who featured in many people’s votes last year, is this year strangely absent. What a difference a year makes eh!
First Three Things You Would Do As Arsenal Manager
Obviously, I get a lot of rich and varied answers here, including the one from one person who would sack himself immediately and appoint Jens Lehmann. What I have to do is categorise the answers, in order to get a general flavour of the prominent ideas. And it is actually quite easy, because the same ideas present themselves time and time again. The oft-mentioned idea of shedding about 15 players off the wage bill, is the clear winner here. Also popular, in an acknowledgement that despite his fine work, perhaps his influence needs diluting, is the notion that Wenger should appoint several ex players, particularly defenders from the George Graham era, as his defensive coaches (something which has since happened, in a roundabout fashion). Some of you would demand a large sum of money from the board of directors, others would take Tomas Vermaelen to one side and tell him to ‘sort himself out’. ‘Selling Ramsey’ was mentioned by more than one person, and one of you would ‘tell Marouane Chamakh to P*ss off’. One of you, and I don’t think I need to say who, would carry on doing things exactly the same.

Hard to believe that only 5 people put surveys in.
Since the end of WW1, 1919, when the FA restarted its 4 tier football league, with Arsenal fc in the 1st div, there’s only ever been one club to have never been relegated from Div 1/ EPL.

We already live in a one party state padre, unless you think there's much difference between labour/Tory or voting for either makes much difference.
My point is that people like celine just can't stop with the 'wenger must go' theme, we're moving into a different space now, yet still we don't hear anything positive from them.Yet the WMG 'movement' have never done a mea culpa, about time you did.

I havent said anything about Wenger going or staying for years.
You really need to actually read some of my pieces, instead of imagining what I write.
This is a survey, where we ask largely the same questions every year, to see what the shift is.
Its not my own opinion, and this is one of about 50 questions, that I ask other people. Then they respond.

Wrong. The whole fecking season has been dominated by the 'wenger out' bores. And only now are some of you realising that something is stiring. Of course the majority said 'are you mad'. That's my point, why even ask it, do manua ask if fergie should stay or go?
Some of us are just sick of the topic, talk about flogging a dead horse. And pardre, you've been on the topic all season, it's about time you of all people frankly admitted you got it badly wrong. The reasons why we struggled for part of this season were mainly to do with injuries, not Wenger, this was clear when we got all our defenders back, but no "Wenger must go". I didn't hear you rebuffing the mob very much.

Who was to blame that almost right up to transfer deadline day that Wenger claimed that Cesc and Nasri would not leave, then didnt buy replacements until deadline day?
Our season didnt start until mid september. Wenger made one quality buy, Arteta, and without him Arsenal couldnt win a game until the last game of the season. Of course that was due to Arsenal's player of the season, Fulop. What a genius Wenger is he knew all along that Fulop would throw it.

Who said I don't want to win stuff? That's not the difference between us. The difference is that I believe Wenger is a world class manager and you don't. Now that he starts to have the raw material to build a world class team, we'll see. End of story.

wld the club hierarchy be interested in upgrading his KRA from 3rd-4th finish to atleast one trophy in the coming season and a PL and/or CL in the next.... if we dont bring in any trophy in the coming one, that shld be his last season as a manager with us.... he has had money this season n last... deals are being done quite early and thr shldnt be any excuse of not winning a trophy in 2012-2013

I find it sad that the largest debate to come out of this piece of work, which took me many hours and is genuinely for the entertainment of all, is with some pointless minor player like Seanski who only comes on here to have a go at me and PP, and has never offered a developed opinion in any of his posts here.
The 'should Wenger go' question was one of about 40, and admittedly it doesnt have much a place in this years survey, there isnt much debate around Wenger staying or going. I think most people agree he didnt do too badly last year. Not brilliant, still several schoolboy errors, but not too bad, and probably, now we have no more top four aspirations, the best manager we are going to get.
But it simply isnt true to suggest that me and PP are some bizarre anti Wenger enclave in a remote corner of the internet. We have an outside life as well, mine involves trawling the pubs of north london after every game, and I know several hundred people who are tired of the man, and who know that whether he is part of the problem or the cause of it, that we are very likely to ever break out of this stasis of non achievement, celebrated as if it were something truly wonderful.
Your statement above Seanski, that we would have pulled up trees last season but for 'injuries' is the statement of a deluded person. Start of the season, we lost 3 of our first 4 games. relegation form. With injuries very little to do with it. The club was in disarray, and a disarray largely of Wengers making. And if you read back my articles, I have had far more sophisticated and insightful things to say about our ongoing scenario than you have. Our situation is down to a combination of many factors, mostly commercial. But to sit here spouting the 'next year will be our year' mantra, which we have been hearing now for nigh-on a decade, well, its the baseless ramblings of a fanatic, spouting from an agenda that has moved on.

As a staunch Wenger fan, I supported his retention at our club though last season, even though the staunchest of us could not support his transfer dealings last summer.
Last summers window was a disaster. Wengers and Arsenals worst that I can rmember It left us with NO chance of winning the competition. NO one can deny this fact.
The fact that we recovered to finish 3rd, only reinforces my faith in Wenger, but I am/was fully supportive of Gooners rights to bring Wengers standing at our club into question.
And for you to object to this questioning, in a survey about last season is, TBH, dictatorial and quite unintelligent.

Let's face it, there are not so many people gracing this board on a regular basis, when I first started ,coming on here, some six/seven years ago, there were many more and it was a much more vibrant place. The anti-wnger movement have had an incredibly negative effect on this board, so many people have gone elsewhere. I suppose they were all minor players, right celine?

The big group of people that left the board left at the CL final loss, Wenger was still held in high regards back then. Things seems good because there was a load of optimism.

Your opinions you are entitled to Seanski, but get your facts straight, this board is visited by 60,000 people a month. This site is also the top site for readers of features on the football network with nearly 50,000 different visitors to the articles in any given month.

This isn't so complicated, it's got nothing to do with board politics, it about a player who's been so supported by this club shiteing on us from a great height. He knows full well that the last thing we need is to be unsettled yet again, yet here we are again. Fans need to stand together, this is absolutely not the end of the world.

Not entirely true actually padre. You're saying RVP "Van Persie is just saying what a lot of us already know". But is he? All he's doing is trying to justify going where the dosh is. I can't understand why you are almost agreeing with the @#$%&. I get that there are board politics, but this isn't it, the club is buying players, a bit late ok, but nevertheless.
