Can't attack can't defend, but apart from that a great team

After watching this game for ten minutes only the wilfully blind, and probably Wenger, could fail to see what was about  to happen. If you attack and attack, but only create one real chance and miss that, the opposition will grow in confidence. Every misplaced chance is an encouragement to the opposition to break and score.

So Arsenal attacked and attacked, but were inept in the final third, if football was ice skating Wenger’s team would waltz the league every year, 9, 9, 9, 8.5, and 10 the judges cards would read, but unfortunately the rules are that the team that scores the most goals wins. Something so blindingly obvious it shouldn’t need saying, but Wenger is yet to grasp the concept as his after game comments prove;

“I cannot fault the attitude or the effort that the team produced, or the spirit the team has shown”. Yes Arsene your team can’t attack and can’t defend, but apart from that they are a great team.

His team didn’t play badly, well not until they got in front of goal, or had to defend their own goal. It’s a waste of time reporting this, the main reason for defeat was that Spurs had two forwards who could score and Arsenal had none. Not one forward could score, Giroud had the most chances but isn’t good enough to score in a game of this tempo. Walcott never got the ball he needed, and Jack seemed incapable of finding him, and no midfielder could score. One goal, and that was flukey bounce off the monkey man’s bonce.

Meanwhile Wenger’s substitutions were as passive as ever, the only early sub was for Jenkinson’s injury, Podolksi wasn’t brought on until the game was almost finished. Fourth place is a trophy? Well there will be no trophies full stop this season, unless Wenger’s chinless wonders of a strike force can start scoring, and his centre backs start defending.

Yes I am sure the neutral enjoyed the game, I am happy for them, but I am a fan and I want change and that should start with replacing Wenger with someone who knows what they are doing and can motivate the team.

Spurs 2 Arsenal 1

Yup same old bollix! As you say Boris it was obvious from the start! I did feel momentary outrage that the first goal was offside based on the initial replay but note BFG played monkey boy onside. The second goal was even more inept in that what else Lennon had to do to flag his intention I don't know? Christ even I saw him move watching it in the bar!

Out of CL next week and might just make Europa league next season. Whatever anybody makes of this supposed middle east bid any fan would take it now given the situation we have now... In fact i would take Jabba right now. At least he talks and unlike Stan is a proper cash billionaire rather than one of these yank leverage billionaires...

We will get what we deserve this season. Absolutely nothing.

said our defence has been the problem for years now.
look how long wenger put up with a very mediocre almunia. now he tolerates a very mediocre chumpney.
what next? manure cast off silvestre up front. it wouldn't surprise me.
