Sagna had a great game today and was clearly Arsenal Man of the Match, he was also playing for a new contract, but we will have to wait a few days to find out which one he intends to sign, Arsenal's or Citeh's. On this form I say give him what he wants.
Finally I thought the Arsenal crowd were worth a 9 and the City crowd a five as they went very quiet after Arsenal scored, unlike the Gooners who kept up a barrage of support, even at a goal down.
Szczesny 7 - good game, could do nothing about the goal, made couple of fine saves, and commanded his area well
Sagna 7 - solid, and put in a few decent crosses
Mertesacker 6 - ok game
Vermaelen 6 - ok game
Gibbs 7 - was overloaded early on, but stood up to it well, and had a good game
Arteta 6 - ok game
Flamini 7 - got a fine goal
Cazorla 6 - not in the game enough, a few bright moments
Rosicky 7 - worked hard, lucky not to be sent off
Podilski 6 - not in the game enough, a few bright moments
Giroud 5 - isolated once again
