Cup Winner Fabianski Signs for Swansea on a Free Transfer
By Boris Mellor May 29 2014
It has been confirmed by BBC News and Sky News that Fabianski has signed for Swansea on a free transfer.
BBC News Online states:
"Swansea City have signed goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski from Arsenal.
The 29-year-old Poland international will join the Swans on a free transfer when his contract with the Gunners expires at the end of June.
Fabianski's last game for Arsenal will prove to be the FA Cup win over Hull City, bringing a seven-year spell with the club to an end.
His arrival will increase speculation over the future of first-choice keeper Michel Vorm, linked with Liverpool."
Arsenal fans will remember him fondly for his penalty saving heroics against Wigan in the semi-final. It could be argued he played a very important role in getting the Gunners to the final.
We wish him well but hope he doesn't save any Arsenal penalties in the future.

I have always maintained the opinion that fabianski is more talented then shenz . Yes shenz deserves his place because of his consistency but shenz only got his chance because fabianski got injured. Fabianski will be a great great buy for Swansea.
Not a big loss as long as we sign someone who is capable of being a number one.
From Arsenal FC News
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had attempted to keep a hold of the 29-year-old by offering him a new deal, but Fabianskiโs refusal was actually a blessing in disguise.
Fabianski had the worst save percentage of any Arsenal goalkeeper since 2003.
Mad as a hatter shot-stopper Jens Lehmann heads the list with 73.2 per cent, followed by the much-maligned Manuel Almunia (72.2).
Current first choice Wojciech Szczesny records a marginally better save percentage than the departed Fabianski, with 69.8 per cent.
