Player Ratings as Awful Arsenal go Forth

Arsenal went fourth, and played as if there was nothing to play for, in fact they could have gone third if they scored 4 goals with no reply. But clearly they were lacking confidence after the beating at Tottenham, but it is ironic that two ropey performances in a row - saw the Totts go below. Yes it's the points that count, but it was awul to watch and hardly worth sitting out on a cold draughty night for. It was boring and tedious so without further ado Matt's ratings follow.

Ospina - 6. Made some good saves and claimed some crosses, but not convincing.

Bellerin - 6. Couple of naive moments in the first half but okay overall.
Mertesacker - 6. Sloppy in possession twice but okay otherwise.
Koscielny - 6. Fine, very good finish for his goal.
Monreal - 6. Struggled with Mahrez at times, but okay.

Coquelin - 6. Okay.
Rosicky - 6. Good first half, quiet second half.

Walcott - 4. Poor in the first half, but did score. Non-existent in the second half.
Cazorla - 6. Okay.
Ozil - 6. Two assists. Good first half, okay second half.

Alexis - 5. Not very good, shouldn't have come back out for the second half.

Subs:

Giroud - 6. Came on and gave us a much needed focal point.
Ramsey - N/A. Injured after 9 minutes, didn't have chance to do anything.
Flamini - N/A. Not on long, won a corner.

Awful match and poor from us. We were not very good. We lacked width, we lacked a focal point and we were sloppy defensively. A better team would've punished us. 3 points is all that matters though.

How the F@ does the match winner get the lowest score of all?? The ratings should be null and void on that basis alone.

Well I suppose Matty would have given him 8 but deducted him 4 points for being missing in second half

Walcott was our worse player, the goal doesn't change that.
