Player ratings v Monaco

A disappointing evening when much more was expected. Nobody expects much in Monaco. Player ratings and summary follow.
Ospina - 5. Picked the ball out of the net thrice, otherwise didn't do much.
Bellerin - 5. Tried, but ineffective.
Mertesacker - 4. Sloppy. Awful for the second goal.
Koscielny - 5. Poor for the third goal.
Gibbs - 5. Tried, but ineffective.
Coquelin - 4. Poor. Booked.
Cazorla - 4. Poor, but particularly awful in the second half.
Welbeck - 4. Ineffective and often too central. Has pace and power in abundance but doesn't use it well. Could be so dangerous.
Ozil - 4. No impact.
Alexis - 4. Horribly out of form. Needs a bit of luck.
Giroud - 3. His worst game this season, failed to hit the target with 6 clear cut chances. Got his link-up play and combinations all wrong as well.
Subs:
Walcott - 5. Made an immediate impact, but still not enough.
Oxlade-Chamberlain - 6. Bright, scored a worldie.
Rosicky - N/A. Not on long.

No point trying to dress it up, that was awful. We completely underestimated Monaco and they punished us. They then caught us on the counter attack twice afterwards, either side of a banger from Oxlade-Chamberlain. In Giroud, Alexis, Ozil, Welbeck and Cazorla, we had close to £120 million worth of creative/ attacking talent on the pitch, and they were all awful. We were short of ideas and completely unable to break them down.
