A thoroughly entertaining game I thought. We were all over the place defensively at the start, possibly missing Gabriel and Coquelin, but eventually settled into the game and took control. Great news that Alexis is back on form. We overcame our shyness in front of goal today. Walcott, Alexis and Giroud all scoring is exactly what we want.

Cech - 6. Made some good saves. Generally solid despite us being poor defensively.

Bellerin - 6. Poor start but improved as the game went on. Got forward well for Alexis's first goal.
Mertesacker - 6. Improved as the game went on. Lack of pace was frightening for Vardy's goal though.
Koscielny - 6. Improved as the game went on.
Monreal - 7. Sound defensively. Offered very little going forward until the final 10 minutes when the game was stretched. Great ball for Giroud's goal.

Flamini - 4. Couldn't work out what midfield role he was supposed to be playing. No impact on the game whatsoever. We improved after he left the field, coincidentally.
Cazorla - 7. Mixed first half but a great through ball for Walcott's first. Good second half.

Ramsey - 5. Shocking first half but did improve in the second. Fed up of seeing him on the right.
Ozil - 8. Quiet start but grew into the game as it went on and pulled the strings. We want him to be involved in the goals and he was today. Great cross for Alexis's second goal.
Alexis - 9. Worked hard, as usual, and scored a hat trick. Get in. He's back!

Walcott - 8. Excellent throughout. Scored the first and was a constant threat with his pace and movement. Probably the first time I've been convinced about his abilities upfront.

Subs:

Arteta - 7. I actually thought he played well when he came on, bar a mad few minutes in the second half where he handballed and passed the ball straight out of play.
Oxlade-Chamberlain - 5. A couple of lively runs.
Giroud - 6. Came on and scored, which is what we want. Great finish as well.
