The wrong side? Player ratings v Slavia Prague
By Gunnersingh
April 8 2021
This game was there for the taking. Arteta picked the wrong side. Prague lacked pace at the back and Martinelli should have played. I still think we'll beat them in Prague if Arteta picks the right team.
Leno- Very shaky again. He got lucky with the save that hit the post, but that luck didn't last.- 5
Bellerin- Best of a very panic stricken defence. Got forward well at times-5
Holding- His passing once again let him down, and he kept letting the ball bounce and didn't attack it. 4
Gabirel- His confidance has gone and it his was poor touch and clearance which lead to their goal. 4
Cedric- Looks lost on the left and he refuses to use his left foot. Kept on passing it back and it proved costly. He got beaten easily for their equaliser-2
Partey- Another who's lost all confidence. He couldn't pass the ball all night and is increasingly looking a poor signing.-4
Xhaka- Better than Partey again tonight but that is not saying much. Struggled to control the game-5
Saka- Our most threatening player- Looked tired in the 2nd half and should have scored-7
Smith Rowe - No impact at all. Needs to do far more if he's going to replace Odegaard- 3
Willian- Another with no impact-3
Laca- Poor again. Missed a golden chance and didn't offer much else -3
Martinelli- Couldn't get involved apart from the shot over the bar-4
Aubameyang- Looked much more sharper and good pass to Pepe -5
Pepe- Good impact. Showed Laca how to finish-6
Elneny Not on long enough.

But like the useless cnut Arteta is does nothing until late on.
Leno is a average keeper no more. Always has been.
Bellerin is just Bellerin these days. Needs to move on.
Holding. Don't actually think he did much wrong. Still isn't good enough though.
Gabriel is looking poorer each game.
Cedric picked a bad night for his worse game.
Partey is so poor it's unreal.
Was Xhaka playing ?
ESR offered nothing.
Saka made some good runs. But can't finish.
Pepe. Good goal. Could he have done better from the corner for there goal. Think so.
Willian. Why do we persist with him.
Lacca had a bad night.
Aubameyang should have scored.
Martinelli. Deserves more minutes to have an influence.
Arteta 0 points.
Poor performance overall. So many poor performances.
Will be a struggle now.
Especially as we can't keep clean sheets.

That dumbfcuk of a manager slavishly aped Arsene Wenger whose policy is not to substitute player until after the 70th minute.
The team wasn't working in 1st half.
That dumbfcuk simply hasn't got the balls to change course and inexperience with his paucity of tactical nous to reverse the tactical situation.
Plus he got his substitution wrong.
We were losing out to high balls with 2 midget FB and either put in Mari or Chambers to reinforce the defend after 86th minute when Pepe scored.
Instead that dumbfcuk decided to give Ceballos playing minutes.

I believe Pepe is an impact player only when he comes on as a sub. This is the time when the opposing defenders are already tired and struggle to deal with his pace and trickery. If he starts a game from the beginning, he struggles against defenders who are fresh and able to match his pace. He gets frustrated, then loses confidence and becomes a passenger for the rest of the game b4 getting replaced.
Taht's where we need him as a 2nd half player and comes in not later than 60th minute,
Ferguson was a master of it, keeping Soljerk as a supersub who scored plenty of vital goals.

He should start away to Prague. Their defence is slow, we need as many quick players playing as possible

Agree.
He isn't good enough to start games.
We have to many who start now do ferk all, don't need another.

Play Martinelli, Aubameyang and Pepe and get their players carded early
Saka was a threat but lacked the finishing you need at this level, heโs 19 and that will come.
Martinelli whimped out of the tackle before the shot that hit the post and I have no clue as to what Cedric and Gabriel were doing before that. Reminiscent of Leno v Olympiakos last year when he gave away the corner and they scored in the last minute.
Parteyโs form is a worry, he should be dominating those games. Hopefully heโll be better next week. Their pitch is going to be absolutely sh.it. It wonโt be a carpet like at the Emirates.
Weโve spoken about this many times but what is the actual point of Willian? He hit the post with a free kick and thatโs it. He wasnโt trying to get in behind. In fact the only players who did get in behind on the left were Cedric and ESR. Heโs a disgrace to the shirt.
Iโm bigger on Pepe than most of you and he has many flaws. You canโt tell me Willian offers more than him. At least he provides the occasional goal or assist. Or start Martinelli, at least he tries to make things happen and is capable of scoring.
I doubt the Arsenal hierarchy will sack Arteta but if we lose against SP and end up finishing 8th or lower then heโs got to go. I know many of you have been there a long time.
F.uck this sh.it, Iโm almost done

73 minutes Willian stayed on for, 73 f.ucking miserable minutes
When a manager dies this consistently with no evidence historically the player will come good, you have to say it's poor management.
It's utterly inexcusable. I've said before, Willian will be the death of Arteta at Arsenal.

And if it does he will deserve it.
I'm so pi.ssed off with this game. I can compartmentalize the Liverpool game because they are much better than us. I can't excuse this though, we could get XI from this forum to give Slavia Prague a game, they're sh.it....but so are we.

You know when we are a goner when that dumbfcuk of a manager proved that he is clueless on his tactical formation to suit the players he bought.
That dumbfcuk, WIllian, Laca and Auba were saved by an empty stadium.
Imagine the abuses that were dished out to Wenger and Emery increased two fold against them.
