Saka or Martinelli MotM? Player Ratings v Hammers

A great result now on to Leeds. Arsenal have to make sure they go there and put them to the sword as they're severely lacking Confidance. No more fluffing key lines please. Ratings follow:

Ramsdale 7 - Few good saves

Tomi 8 - Solid as a rock.  Mr reliable.  Is showing what he can do getting forward as well.

White 7 -  Much better.  Defended well when needed

Gabriel 7 - Solid as usual.  Bullies attackers.

Tierney 7 - Getting back to his best. unlucky with a great effort.

Partey 7- Bossed midfield with Xhaka.

Xhaka 7- See above

Saka-9 Brilliant.  Joy to watch.  West ham couldn't handle him.  Hopefully he can continue this form.

Odegaard 8- Class.  Rice couldn't get near him and his positioning caused them no end of trouble.

Martinelli 9- MOTM.  Just edges Saka for the goal which reminded me of Henry at his peak.  Brilliant work rate as usual.

Laca 8- Briilliant hold up play.  Poor pen though.

Smith Rowe 7 - Great goal.  Will find it hard to get his place back though.

Subs
Nketiah/ Tavares NA

I think it was White who went to head ball 20 yards out of defence and it only went 5 yards, they got the ball and almost scored. He gave Saka some good passes, but he also gave some very poor ones. He has to be more consistent

Think that was Tomi who made the poor headed clearance.

16 of Arsenal's 23 Premier League goals this season have been scored by players aged 23-and-under:

Emile Smith Rowe has 6. Martin ร˜degaard has 4 .Gabriel has 2. Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka have 2 a piece.

ALL of Arsenalโ€™s back four won 100% of their ground duels vs West Ham: Takehiro Tomiyasu (5/5) Kieran Tierney (3/3) Ben White (2/2) Gabriel (2/2)

Ben White is very lightweight but didn't really get bullied today.

Theodore roosevelt - In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.

I was sitting right opposite who ever it was, and certainly wasnt Tomi

If it was from the free kick which fell to Fornals who bent one.
It was a White header as Padre said.

I'm not arguing with the ratings - they look broadly right

Fans on BBC website had Tierney first, followed closely by Saka, ESR and Martinelli in that order.

I stand corrected.

Back to Ben White he needs to learn to release the ball quicker as he slows down our attacks to often.
