Rice's Crisp Finish Ends Chelsea Fun: Ratings

By Boston Gooner and Boris Mellor

Forgive an old timer's reverie but as Arsenal struggled at 2-0 down with less than 15 mins to go I messaged a friend "remember Kanu won it single handed", recalling the time Kanu scored the greatest hat trick I have ever seen by an Arsenal Player. A hat trick that turned certain defeat into vistory in the last minutes of a game at Stamford Bridge.

This time it wasnt a wonder hat trick, or even victory, but cometh the hour cometh the man and this time it was a wonder goal by Rice that burst the Chavs bubble. Now instead of a statement win the Chavs were hanging on to avoid defeat.

Boston's ratings are based on the dire 60 mins before Arsenal suddenly woke up and started playing, That's how it goes.

Chelsea 2 Arsenal 2

Ratings follow:

GK: David Raya - 3/10 - Jelly Raya so shakey. The guy just keeps bottling it.
And even his kicking isn't that great.

RB: Ben White - 4/10 - Loses a point for stupid haircut.

CB: William Saliba - 4/10 - Our C/Backs where all over the place.

CB: Gabriel - 5/10 - Our C/Backs where all over the place.

LB: Oleksandr Zinchenko - 3/10 - Offered nothing. Defensive liability. Left back position needs sorting.

CM: Jorginho - 3/10 - How on earth does this guy even play for us.

CM: Declan Rice - 7/10 - Not the best first half. But great 2nd half and started the fightback with a great finish.
Should be Captain and will be our player of the season.

CM: Martin Odegaard - 3/10 - Arsenal's captain did not lead by example.
Some will say he didn't go missing again 😁🤣😂

RW: Bukayo Saka - 6/10 - Cucurella bossed him mainly. But did assist the Trossard goal. Not convinced he was fit.

CF: Gabriel Jesus - 4/10 - C/Forward my a.rse. He plays anywhere but there.

LW: Gabriel Martinelli - 6/10 - Tried his hardest. Was the only player with credit 1st half.

Substitutes

Tomi was a lot better than Zinchenko

Eddie. just not good enough again.

Emile Smith Rowe. Looked lost.

Havertz 🤔

Trossard . He's a super sub. Well taken goal.

Overall this wasn't great from us.
Getting a goal let alone a point never looked on after that 1st half showing.

If that's your average ratings Gabriel should get 6, Jorginho 4, Rice 6.
Rice got us back in the game but his first half was shocking.

Theodore roosevelt - In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.

Oh, I see.
It’s the Boston Times Ratings.
The ratings ya get with a 2 yr course of anti- depressants. 🤣🤣🤣

Since the end of WW1, 1919, when the FA restarted its 4 tier football league, with Arsenal fc in the 1st div, there’s only ever been one club to have never been relegated from Div 1/ EPL.

Arsenal fc

Let’s keep making history
