Gambia Gunners Happy as Arsenal Beat Pompey.

Arsenal Times is on Holiday in the Gambia, resting its key reporters for the hectic Xmas fixture list. Hopefully fully refreshed the AT team will hit the pitch running on boxing day.

The hotel we have booked into is populated by staff that mainly support Arsenal, and know the premier league more thoroughly than some who sit in the West Stand Upper (cheap jibe, sorry, just making a point).

The Arsenal magazine has gone down very well here, and as I write a Gambian sits at a computer, opposite me, wearing his Arsenal strip. He tells me Arsenal have a lot of fans here. Come on Arsenal there is some marketing to be done here.

Anyhow I will not report the match as seen on Discovery, and the commentary by the obnoxious David Pleat, follwed by a South African Panel of experts. Did you know you can watch 343 Premiership games a season here?

One Gambian supporter told Arsenal Times he never expected Campbell to score. You are not alone there mate.

I will just report that the Gambian fans present did not seem to be half as critical as Arsenal fans, they thought it was good result and left the bar on a high. Only a couple of fans from England, one Spuds and one Chelski, slunk off unhappy. They really thought Pompey would do to us what they did to Manure, Spuds and Liverpool. Bad luck lads.
