Crespo, Gallas, Cole and Swindon Town!

Interesting day. Whilst I have been slaving away at work, Hernan Crespo has signed a loan deal with Inter Milan leaving Chelsea with Drogba and Shevchenko as Chelsea's recognised main strikers, but with newly signed Salamon Kalou impressing in the second-half of the defeat in Chicago.....

..... on Saturday night, Crespo's loss (albeit massive especially for the fans) might not be that hard to swallow.

Willie G if you believe the press wants to go to the Emirates Stadium, but, if you were at Stamford Bridge this afternoon for the fans Blue Day Out you would have seen him in the line-up for the official team photo resplendent in the NEW home kit for the 2006/07 season - defending champions for the second year in succession heheheh!

Whereas across town in Norf London, reports are reaching this writer that Ashley Cole hasn't been included in the Emirates XI for the forthcoming Champions League qualifier and wasn't included in their official team photo for the forthcoming season!! Hope he isn't coming to Chelsea!!!

Now on a more sad and sombre note, members of the Swindon Town Football Club boardroom were involved in a plane crash on Saturday night whilst returning from Hartlepool after their first League game of the season. Fortunately the parties involved escaped with no more than broken bones, but it is reported that the pilot of the light aircraft is in a serious condition.

Having lost Matthew Harding nearly ten years ago in similar circumstances, our sincere best wishes go to the injured, their families, Swindon Town FC and of course to the fans.

Special prayers and thoughts are extended to the young Stanley Devlin, whose dad Mark is Swindon's Chief Executive also injured in the crash, who broke both of his legs in the accident.
