New Look Reserves Under A New Coach

A brand new looking line-up of Chelsea Reserves take the field at The Rec, home of Aldershot Town FC, tonight to take on Fulham Reserves.

Its coach Brendan Rodgers first competitive game since moving up from the Academy and he has brought in EIGHT Academy players that feature in tonight's game.

No more will there be Danny Hollands, Filipe Morais, Joe Tillen or James Younghusband who have all moved on to further their careers.

In tonight's team 17 Year Old Sam Hutchinson plays at right-back for only the second time. Ryan Bertrand who went on the tour to the U.S with the first-team also gets a start at left-back. Michael Mancienne (who is now a first-team squad member), Jack Cork and Scott Sinclair make it FIVE Academy players who will start the game. The other three: Goalkeeper Rhys Taylor, Sergio Tejera and Ben Sahar (who scored in Saturday's win for the Academy) complete the Academy line-up.

Kick off is 7pm and there will be LIVE updates on the message board from 6.45pm with hopefully news of Fulham's team.

Mick McGiven who was Reserve team coach has now moved up to work with the first team.
