When two teams meet for the TWELFTH time in two years as Chelsea and Liverpool do today at Stamford Bridge writing a preview becomes difficult without dragging up the normal drudge.

Drudge like how many times have Chelsea beaten Liverpool, how many times have Liverpool beaten Chelsea, why can't Chelsea beat Liverpool in European cup competition etc, etc, etc.

The last match between the two teams was back in August when the giant frizbee was contested. The 'Shev' scored his first competitive goal for Chelsea and Riise scored his 2nd stunning goal against Chelsea in as many years and Liverpool won 2-1.

Riise is unavailable today due to injury.

Chelsea however have lost their own talisman in Joe Cole. His injured knee flared up after the Bremen game and he will be out for a couple of weeks. But bad news and good news go hand in hand as Arjen Robben has regained full fitness after his calf injury and returns to the squad.

As for the team, well this is a dliemma. Chelsea need some width and Chelsea will be looking for Ashley Cole to make more forward runs then he did against Bremen. Boulahrouz doesn't get forward. Essien can't be dropped nor can Drogba, but The Shev can, but I would start him again.

So with that I am going with this line-up and put Geremi in at right-back, simply because he will get forward and give Chelsea the width on the right.

Cech, Geremi, Terry (c), Carvalho, A Cole, Makelele, Essien, Ballack, Lampard, Drogba, Shevchenko

COME ON CHELSEA!!
