Unlike the Reserves who surrendered their unbeaten League record at home to Reading this evening, the Academy went from strength to strength as they comprehensively beat Millwall Youth away 3-1 with winger Mirsoslav Stoch scoring a second consecutive double.

Football Icon winner Sam Hurrell played the whole ninety minutes and was unfortunate to see a wonder strike hit the bar.

Millwall took the lead against the run of play, but minutes later Stoch dribbled in from the right a produced a left-footed drive into the far top corner. Tug-of-war from Leeds United and Mr Ken Bates, Michael Woods scored his first Chelsea goal after playing a one-two with Sergio Tejera around Millwall's penalty area.

The result was put beyond doubt when Miroslav tucked away a free-kick midway through the second-half.

Near the end after Shaun Cummings was brought down by Millwall's goalkeeper, the ref red-carded the keeper and gave Chelsea a free-kick which came to nothing.

Fair play to coach Ruud Kaiser's diplomacy, he said "I would have preferred a yellow card and the penalty. It was a good team performance again. We played well in the first 20 minutes, and when we fell behind we didn’t let it affect us, passed well and by half-time were 2-1 up.

"Miroslav is giving us good action, good dribbling, good shooting and good finishing. The only thing the team could have done better was go on to win by four or five-one when Millwall went down to ten men.
