Chelsea flew out of Gatwick with our inspirational Captain John Terry and eye infection victim Khalid Boulahrouz yesterday afternoon and at the time of writing the team have already trained at the stadium and it looks like JT will start against ......
..... Levski Sofia in matchday two of this season's Champions League. The stadium, Vassil Levski National Stadium, is not Levski's home ground. Because of the interest generated by Chelsea's visit and Levski Sofia's becoming Bulgaria's first representative in the Champions League, the Bulgarian authorities decided to switch venues. Khalid looks set to start at right-back, but should JT not make it then Paulo will come in at right-back and Khalid move to partner Carvalho in the centre of defence. Chelsea and Levski have met before in European competition in the UEFA Cup with Chelsea winning 5-0 on aggregate (3-0 at home, 2-0 away), this before the disapppointing exit to Hapoel Tel Aviv in the following round. Levski who were soundly beaten in matchday one away to Barcelona have a striker crisis to deal with in the lead up to tomorrow night's game. First choice Valeri Domovchiyski is injured, also injured is Emil Angelov and a big doubt is also Georgi Ivanov who missed both legs of our UEFA cup meeting back in 2001. Ivanov was a team-mate of Petr Cech when he was at Rennes in France. So the responsibility for Levski goals could be laid on the shoulders of midfielder Cedric Bardon who was a team-mate of Didier Drogba when they were both at Guingamp. Chelsea team (Probable): Cech, Boulahrouz, Carvalho, Terry (c), A Cole, Makelele, Essien, Lampard, Ballack, Shevchenko, Drogba The game kicks off at 7.45pm UK time, but Sofia time will be 9.45pm at kick off.
