Reserve team Captain Jimmy Smith has joined West Londoners Queens Park Rangers on loan until the end of October.
This could be a good move by Chelsea and for Jimmy as it looks like Jose Mourinho is starting to consider Jimmy for first team action. Jimmy Smith is 19 years old and has led the Reserves as Captain this season with maturity and responsibility. Remember when John Terry went to Nottingham Forest on loan and look where he is now. Jimmy has scored twice this season in three Reserves games and last season scored ten goals in 24 appearances (incl sub) for the Academy, Reserve and first teams. QPR fans should enjoy seeing Jimmy play. For tonights action against Levski Sofia in Bulgaria, both John Terry and Mikel both start. The weather in Sofia has changed and it has been raining all day. The anticipated crowd is in excess of 40,000 and remember the game is being played in Bulgaria's National Stadium to celebrate Bulgaria's first appearance in the Champions League. 25,000 tickets were sold in four hours.
