Lets get behind Cookie. Football Icon 2 started last night and Anthony (Cookie) Cook a 17 year old attacking midfielder from London's Hackney scored the highest amount of points to qualify for the selection weekend at Chelsea's training ground at Cobham.
From a maximum of 84,000 points available Cookie scored an amazing 80,000. Thirty-three boys from the length and breadth of the County scored the required 70,000 points to take them into the selection weekend. The judges then decided on the seven boys who missed the 70,000 mark to make up the numbers. One of those boys Dean (a mate of Cookie) managed to make the cut despite being fifteen points short of the 70,000 points total required. Good Luck to all the boys, but I am backing Cookie. The selection will see the 40 boys reduced to 14 over a couple of days, tested by playing in make-or-break matches. Once the final list of fourteen boys has been decided they will all move into a 'footballers style mansion' (near the Chelsea training ground) and live the life of a Professiona Footballer.
