After the European Champions League Semi-Final at Anfield on Tuesday evening, Philip Carter, who was an Honoury President of Chelsea died tragically in a helicopter crash when returning from the match. Sadly, his young son, Andrew aged 17, a friend Jonathan Waller and the pilot, Stephen Holdich also lost their lives.
Philip was a chief executive of Carter & Carter. He originally founded the company which employs over 500 people and was later named Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006.
Our thoughts go out to his wife Judith and daughter Natalya and the family and friends involved in this tragic accident.
Director Peter Marples, finance director John Green and chief operating officer Nigel Kirkham, said:
"Above all, Phil was a great friend, a strong family man, and will be deeply and sadly missed by all those who knew him."
RIP Philip, and no doubt you´ll be watching the Blues from above.
We´ll keep the blue flag flying for you.
