Kerry Dixon RALLIES The Fans

On Chelsea TV tonight Kerry Dixon was the special guest along with host Scott Minto who are Chelsea legends and heroes. There were lots of topics on offer tonight including the Avram Grant debate, Chelsea's win at Man City last Saturday but more importantly Chelsea's 2nd leg at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night against Fenerbache in the Champions League Quarter-Final.

Now we know a Chelsea win (even 1-0) will see us through to a Semi-Final against the winners of Liverpool and Arsenal.

I have my own opinions about Tuesday night not so much about the players but about the fans.

Against Olympiakos at Stamford Bridge in the last round we 'got battered' by 3,000 Greeks who did not stop singing for the whole ninety minutes of the game despite the result going against them 3-0.

Chelsea fans got really and truly mullered that night as we always do.

The reason is that we have 'toooooooooooooo many fans who sit in the East and West Stands that simply DO not know how to support the club they have come to watch.

Chelsea can dish out as many flags as they want for 'fans' to fly but when it comes to supporting the team during the 90 minutes that they are playing, this is a different matter.

For the Olympiakos game I was 'displaced' from my season ticket seat because of TV and media requirements, so I settled for a seat in the lower tier of the West Stand.

My God, although Chelsea scored an early goal, after twenty minutes of the game my son and I lost the will to live, because the people around us were there for the night.

They didn't support Chelsea they just wanted to send their own message to their friends to say 'I woz there.'

For tomorrow night's game our seats are in The Shed End Lower and although we have been displaced and no doubt for the semi-final we will get displaced again - at least we will be able to throttle our vocal chords to the max with like-minded people around us, like we do for every game we are in our own seats in the MHL.

My thought for the players is a simple one. In the first leg Fenerbache showed us how to shoot! Need I say more!!!

I sent thise email to Chelsea TV tonight, but it didn't get read out. I should have rung instead... I will do one day

----------------

Ref Graham's call

Graham has a point.

I know we 'are going to get battered' by the Fenerbache fans tomorrow in terms of atmosphere. They will be going crazy.

We were completely humiliated by Olympiakos in the last round.

My son and I are season ticket holders in the MHL and we were displaced for the Olympiakos game and the best seats we were offered were in the West Stand Lower.

To be honest with you, the atmosphere in that lower tier, well we both lost the will to live after about 20 minutes!!! I kid you not.

We so missed the MHL and The Shed did their best - but when you have opposing fans singing for almost 90 mins all you want to do is hang your head in shame!!!

Fortunately, as we have been 'displaced' again - we are in The Shed End Lower.

Scott and Kerry

We are both singers and not prawn sandwich eaters

Thank You

Well we are a bit more up against it on all sides:

Cech definitely out and Essien went off training with a back injury although Carvalho should be back.

We need to score - would love Grant to throw the gauntlet down with both Anelka and Drogba up front but I doubt that´ll happen.

I suppose, somthing like:

......................Cuducini

Belletti........Carvalho........Terry..... A Cole

.......Ballack........Makelele.......Lampard

....J Cole............Drogba...........Malouda

Most of mine are wrong to be honest!

Kalou for Malouda, Anelka for Drogba, Ferreira for Makelele......Sheva on the bench champing at the bit!

Would be easier to pick if it was 4-4-2.
