Chelsea Target 24M Quaresma
QUARESMA AND LAMPARD

At long last Chelsea may be making an earnest attempt to sign Ricardo Quaresma from Porto. The news broke on Sky (which after the Ancelotti exclusive debacle might not mean that much!). The Portuguese club are on the verge of being kicked out of the Champions League due to a bribes scandal which may pave the way for an exit for the skilful winger.
Quaresma is someone many Chelsea fans have been crying out for us to sign since we sold Robben. In my view, he’s the closest there is to the Dutchman – very fast, quick feet, skilful – and dare I say it, not as injury prone as our former winger.
He is only 24 (which surprised me a bit) and is a MUST signing if Abramovich wants bums off seats football from flair players.
Naturally, we aren’t the only ones interested according to Sky – Inter and Real Madrid have also perked their ears up.
Hopefully, Madrid will get Ronaldo and despite possibly selling Robinho to us, will still consider Quaresma as surplus with the likes of Robben, Drenthe and Ronaldo in the squad. Mourinho´s Inter (ouch! How I do not like typing that!) may be a tougher rival for his signature as Mourinho is a long time admirer of the player.
Porto president Jorge Pinto da Costa is waving a £24million blank invoice about:
"Those who are interested must pay his 30 million euro buy-out clause.”
Come on Roman! Get your cheque book out for a change! (Cough!)
Chelsea want Quaresma (supposedly) and he is in the Portuguese squad. We have already signed Boswingwa who is also in the Portuguese squad and just by chance who is the national manager of Portugal????

Sin embargo, lo veo muy dificil. Mourinho tambien le quiere en su plantilla.
Para mi, es el jugador mas parecido al estilo de jugar de Robben (aunque tiene un poco mas de tecnica creo).

It´ll be very difficult to get him though - Mourinho wants him in his squad as well.
Quaresma is the closest I´ve seen to Robben although I reckon Quaresma has a bit more technique.
