From Glanford Park to St Mary's
In His Scunthorpe Days

England's U19 Captain and son of Wimbledon legend Alan Cork has joined Championship side Southampton on loan till January 2009. Jack spent the whole of last season at Scunthorpe Utd and was voted by Scunthorpe fans as their Player of the Year. Jack also won the Young Player of the Year to complete a remarkable 'double.
Jack is another Chelsea youngster to be 'loaned' out and alot of questions are being asked around the 'various' Chelsea sites.... What is 'Big Phil's' take on blossoming youngsters from The Academy and the reserves into the first team... or is he more concerned in paying for an already established 'product,' like the latest price for Robinho being banded about at £35 million?
It is suggested that Chief Executive Peter Kenyon is in Madrid trying to thrash out a deal before the transfer window closes on Monday 1st September.
Didn´t realise that he was voted player and young player of the year at Scunthrope.
I note that Cork´s loan is only until January....

"It is born out of hypocrisy and fundamental insecurity. There have been two kids on the block for the past 12 years. Suddenly, there is a third and that one is threatening to be more successful than the others and they don’t like it." P Kenyon.
