ANDY GOLDSTEIN

I really can’t believe just how stupid some people can be! Andy Goldstein from the sports radio show “Talksport” told listeners that ex-Chelsea defender Jason Cundy had “passed away” when it became known that he couldn’t make Saturday’s “Sportsbar” show.
Wandsworth born Cundy was a trainee at Chelsea and went on to play for the club from 1988 to 1992 and had at one time suffered from testicular cancer.
When his “death” was announced by Goldstein fans began to phone in with condolences to the show and Chelsea Football Club and laid flowers outside the Stamford Bridge grounds.Cundy works at Talksport and as a pundit for Chelsea TV as well as playing regularly in Old Boys charity matches (below).

Cundy, 39 said: "It was a silly joke by Andy that backfired.”
“My wife got weird texts and someone even changed my Wikipedia page. I'm sorry if people got upset."
The station issued an apology to Cundy and Chelsea fans last night for “inappropriate comments".
Can’t believe it? No! Me neither! But Talksport appears to have plumbed even lower depths than many of us thought impossible to achieve.
