It's An Early Start

It’s a silly o’clock start tomorrow. The coaches leave Stamford Bridge at 7.15am for the long journey to Bolton, which means I have to be up at five - but who cares. The early start is a cross to bear BUT this is Chelsea. It will be my first trip to the Reebok and yes I DID miss the dramatic day when Super Frank’s double won Chelsea’s first title in 50 years.
Our record at the Reebok over the last five years is extremely good: Played 5 Won 5 and Chelsea have scored eight goals without conceding any and another win tomorrow will see Chelsea set a NEW Premiership record of eleven straight away League wins. For the first time in quite a while, Chelsea have had a full week to prepare. No midweek game gave Phil the opportunity to give the players a day off on Tuesday and no doubt Phil has been working hard to re-instil the winning mentality once the players returned on Wednesday. Although there is nothing wrong with our away record this season, seven from seven, you can’t tell me that certain players apart from being lightweight are suffering a ‘crisis’ of confidence. To a degree Chelsea have their backs against the wall and they will face a stern test from an in-form Bolton side, fresh from their thumping 4-1 win at Sunderland last week, but when the chips are down, Chelsea fans respond with their wallets, like they always do - Chelsea’s allocation of 2800 tickets were sold out in days.
It´s typical of Chelsea to do things the hard way though isn´t it?! Just close your eyes, imagine our away form is our home form and vice versa and hey presto! Title winning form!
Great news on Joe Cole being back - just hope he is 100% rather than the 70% which he has probably been when coming back earlier.
We could do with a win to steady the ship but Bolton having been playing quite well recently - might be even tougher than normal.
