Football Icon's 1st Winner - Sam Hurrell - Where Is He Now?

Sam Hurrell who won Sky One's Football Icon programme back in 2005, where 1,000s of youngsters from all over the country entered to win a Chelsea contract, is currently playing his football in the Blue Square South, for my local team Welling United, THE MIGHTY WINGS.
Today, The Mighty Wings travelled a few miles up the South Circular to Champion Hill Dulwich, to play against already relegated Fisher Athletic and Sam scored Welling's 4th goal in their 5-0 rout.
In 2007 Chelsea let Sam go and he had trials with Leyton Orient and Bradford City which were both unsuccessful - during a spell in the football wilderness, Sam did some coaching back at Chelsea and it is also reported he did some coaching at Tottenham too.
Last Summer he took a role in his local area, coaching youngsters between the ages of 18 months to 5 years old called the Little Kickers.
In September 2008 he signed for Blue Square South's St Albans City FC where he scored on his debut against Bognor Regis Town.
In late January 2009, Sam came on as a substitute for St Albans in their home game against Welling United and scored St Albans' 2nd goal. Welling won 3-2. Teddy Sheringham's son, Charlie, scored twice in that game.
Days later Sam signed for Wellling United and co-incidentally scored his first goal for Welling United against Bognor Regis Town recently in Welling United's 4-1 home win.
Sam made a total of eleven appearances, plus seven substitute appearances for St Albans City, scoring two goals. Already in a handful appearances for The Mighty Wings he has matched that achievement.
It is reported that Sam is dating ex-Eastender and Strictly Come Dancing star, Louisa Lytton.
