Here We Go and NO Mention of Mr Herring Bone!!

This afternoon UEFA charged Chelsea Football Club, Didier Drogba and Jose Bosingwa in relation to the events following the final whistle of the Champions League Semi-Final 2nd Leg against Barcelona at Stamford Bridge over two weeks ago.
There was no mention on the performance of the referee Mr Tom Herring Bone from Norway and since the initial furore over Mr Herring Bone's performance, he seems to have disappeared into the Norwegian Sunset (just like I predicted) and it appears UEFA has washed their hands of him, just like UEFA did over the Frisk affair, after believe or not against Barcelona in the Nou Camp.
At least Frisk had the decency to 'retire,' funny how the British media haven't hounded him to comment on Mr Herring Bone's peformance, about that CORRUPT night at Stamford Bridge.
UEFA's statement reads as follows:
"UEFA has initiated disciplinary proceedings against Chelsea FC, Didier Drogba and Jose Bosingwa in relation to incidents following the UEFA Champions League semi-final against FC Barcelona at Stamford Bridge.
"The club are charged with the improper conduct of their players and the throwing of missles by their supporters, while Drogba and Bosingwa are accused of being in breach of the principles of sportsmanship by insulting the referee by making offensive comments. The club and the individuals concerned have been requested to file a statement by Friday 29 May. The UEFA Control & Disciplinary Body will deal with the case on 17 June 2009."
Chelsea Football Club response is as follows:
"We would like to make clear again, as we did at the time, that the incidents in question were regrettable and occured only because of the high emotions and frustrations which arose from the disappointment of a controversial defeat in such an important game.
"We are all acutely aware of the responsibilities that lie with both the club and its players as regards setting a good example as role models an upholding the principles of fair play in football. Both of the players accept that and apologised honestly very soon afterwards for their actions."
So NO news of Mr Herring Bone then?

Chelsea can also expect a £250,000 fine after being charged by UEFA with failing to control their players and fans in the wake of the exit to Barcelona this month.
Drogba could also have a suspended three-game ban after he had to be dragged away from the official at full time - he also yelled an expletive towards a Sky TV camera.
Bosingwa compared Ovrebo, who ignored a number of Chelsea penalty appeals in the semi-final, to a "thief" in an interview.
UEFA are also probing claims missiles were thrown on to the pitch.
Euro supremos proposed the punishments yesterday and Stamford Bridge chiefs have a week to decide if they want to appeal at a hearing on June 17.

Didier Drogba is braced for a potential five-game ban from European competition for his furious reaction to Chelsea's Champions League exit to Barcelona this month after Uefa finally imposed improper conduct charges on the Premier League club and two of their players.
Chelsea face sanction for failing to control their players and their supporters, who allegedly threw missiles at the ¬Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo, while Drogba and Jose Bosingwa are accused of insulting the official and making offensive remarks. The striker expects to receive a three-match ban with a further two games suspended, on top of which he is likely to be fined.
Chelsea have instructed respected QC Jim Sturman, their regular barrister who represented them over the post-match fracas between a groundsman and Patrice Evra following their league victory over Manchester United last season, to defend them at a meeting of Uefa's control and disciplinary body on 17 June. His first task will be to prepare statements requested from club and players, with Uefa requiring statements from the club and the individuals concerned to be filed with them by 29 May. All parties have the right to request personal hearings, which will be granted in exceptional circumstances.
It is unlikely that the European game's governing body will seek to close sections of Stamford Bridge, or indeed demand Chelsea play a Champions League game behind closed doors next season, given their supporters' relatively good reputation, leaving a fine as the anticipated ¬sanction should the club be found guilty of the charges. Roma were asked to pay 500,000 Swiss Francs in March 2002 – the initial punishment imposed of a one-game home stadium ban and 200,000 Swiss Francs having been reduced – after ugly scenes marred the 1-1 draw with Galatasary. That post-match melee involved players, officials, fans and riot police, with Chelsea likely to risk a similar fine, though the punishments for their players could prove more severe.
