Mass brawl in training match at Cobham

The News of the Screws is carrying a story that there was a mass brawl half an hour into a match between Chelsea Reserves and Arab Emirates side Al Alhi earlier this week. Some of the scenes described are quite astonishing and it is unfortunate that the match was part of Football in the Community scheme.
“Players, coaches and officials from Chelsea's reserve team and United traded blows for five minutes” says the paper and the FA have confirmed that a full investigation has been launched.
Chelsea FC have supplied CCTV footage of the incidents."There were people being chased all over the pitch, eyes were being gouged, hair was being pulled out and one of the Al Hilal players shoved his fingers up the nose of Gael Kakuta. Every player was involved but Chelsea didn't start it,” said a “source".

Chelsea players are the ones that seem to have suffered the brunt of the brawl with karate kicks, knee-high tackles, hair pulling and eye-gouging all being attempted by the opposing team.
Defender Jack Cork was head locked and repeatedly hit, Gael Kakuta had one player trying to force his fingers up his nose and Jeffrey Bruma had two Al Hilal players on his back whilst being karate kicked by another.
The incident that seems to have started the brawl was Ben Gordon being taken-out by a two-footed tackle above the knee.
"The FA supplied the ref. We have received his report and are considering the appropriate action. Chelsea didn't start it,” said an FA source.
Al Alhi were directed straight to their team coach still in kit.
