Bolton Preview: It IS Time to Get Excited

Despite two 4-0 defeats against Chelsea earlier this season, Bolton arrive at Stamford Bridge tonight looking to cement their inclusion in the Premier League next season and derail Chelsea's hopes of regaining the title. Add Chelsea's difficulty to captalise on others inadequacies, especially this season, we are in for a dramatic night.
However it IS time to get excited. Chelsea in pole position for the domestic double, aiming to join the exalted company of previous double winning clubs (ManUre, Woolwich, Tottingham).
Chelsea can go four points clear at the top and with Woolwich facing beaten FA Cup semi-finalists Tottingham tomorrow night anything can happen in a season that already has seen many ups and downs.
(Did you see how quickly Tottingham scuttled out of Wembley on Sunday? Talk about rats quickly deserting a sinking ship... Ed)
The first part of the challenge was completed at the weekend when Chelsea reached the FA Cup Final for the second successive year after beating Villa and the 'disgraceful' Wembley pitch 3-0.
Never before in the history of Chelsea Football Club, has winning the double (a remarkable achievement) been in the conscious of Chelsea fans - hardcore fans and not the JCLs that it is. If it has, the thoughts have never been made publie.... until now.
I am still in the 'good old days' mindset of getting enough points quickly to forget about the possibility of relegation..... it is true I kid you not!!
The boss 'Anco' is looking very calm and relaxed and is starting to dampened down his more serious side when he 'brushed' aside Sir Alex's rough comment about tonight's game being 'easy.'
He said, "In this moment of our season nobody can lose our concentration or determination to win the title, only us.
"I think it is impossible that happens, we worked all the season to stay in this situation now.
"Now is a very good situation for us, and we are in a very good position. This happened not because we were lucky but because we worked hard every day. We stayed top for a lot of time, lost it two weeks ago and came back to the top of the list and want to stay until the end of the season.
"I don't think my players think we have to play an easy game. It is maybe our most important game because we can win and take four points more than Manchester United, so my players are focused for this.
"In the paper maybe Bolton has less quality than us, but in every game they can have a possibility to play a game with high intensity because they didn't play at the weekend. I don't know what we can do about this, we played a tough game on Saturday.
"In this moment of the season every game is difficult, at home and also away. Arsenal has difficult matches against Tottenham, Manchester City, so it is not easy. We don't have a good calendar, we have Tottenham, Stoke, a dangerous team, we play against Liverpool, so it is the same now."
