HISTORY IN THE MAKING

The next several days sees the start of defining moments in the history of Chelsea FC. Despite all those 'you ain't got no history' & 'where were you when you were s**t' baiters that have appeared since Chelsea won their first title in 50 years back in 2005 & no doubt those 'psuedo Latics' from the DW will try & give it on Sunday, Chelsea are on the verge of a historic & unprecendented double.
Three points or at least match Man Utd's result on Sunday will see Chelsea lift the title for the third time in five years, therefore halting Man Utd's charge for FOUR successive Premiership titles and then six days after, another FA Cup Final appearance at Wembley when as holders we will attempt to suffocate the challenge of relegated and debt-ridden Portsmouth.

History is in the making and even now I cannot comprehend the stature and magnitude of the acheivement should Chelsea manage to pull it off.
I cannot contemplate what winning the 'double' is all about apart from the history aspect of the task - Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham know what it is all about.
No doubt the players amongst their circle of friends and country teammates have been asking what the feeling is like to accomplish such a feat. I suppose its the feeling of winning the title, which is brilliant, adding the FA Cup which is also brilliant making that Double Brilliant, Super Brilliant - who knows - I don't.
I will try and let you know as and when, if and when it happens. It just the contemplation of the task in hand that is getting very very exciting.
Chelsea on the verge of a 'history making double.'
The boss 'Anco' spoke today that he expects to named an unchanged team for Sunday. Mikel is ruled out until next season, Carvalho is back in training but is unlikely to feature on Sunday or the Cup Final and 'Anco' expects the Joe Cole situation to be resolved within the next ten days, despite heavy media coverage that a move to North London is on the cards.

'Anco' said, "I saw my players focused during the week and they knew very well how important the game was against Liverpool, this weekend is the same, to be champions we have to play as we played against Liverpool.
"We have to maintain the same confidence in our play, the same determination because nothing is decided. We have to pay a lot of attention because there are not other games, if you miss this game you do not have the possibility of recovery.
"We are in a very good situation, we wanted to arrive at the end of the season with more points but we can decide our destiny in our home at Stamford Bridge so this is a good thing.
"The team is fit, in good condition and has fantastic motivation for this game, We have to be ready and have to play 90 minutes, We come to play this game and try the best, they have a very good team, they beat us in the last game we played and we have to pay attention."
'Anco' said about Joe Cole, "I think that Joe Cole will stay here, and I rarely make a mistake. In January I said nobody will come, and nobody came, and I think Joe will stay.
"We have 10 days to wait because the club will speak with Joe Cole and the other players that are at the end of their contracts after the Cup Final."
