Chelsea Football Club this morning have confirmed that Joe Cole and Michael Ballack WILL be leaving Chelsea, when their contracts expire on 30th June. Both departures are hardly a shock as the media have been in a frenzy that both contract renewals it sticky points in relation to the individuals demands for increase in pay and length of contract.

Reportedly Joey wanted in excess of £100,000 per week and Ballack wanted a two year deal (Chelsea offered one year on reduced terms.)

Personally I am not too bothered about Ballack leaving. Out of the four years he has been at Chelsea, he only had one good season, with intermittent decent performances in-between.

Joey though is a different kettle of fish altogether - an enigma, a legend.

282 appearances for Chelsea in his seven years at the club scoring 40 goals in the process.

His most important goal being the opener at Old Trafford, which springboarded Chelsea's 'Double Winning,' acheivement.

Farewell Joey - YOU WILL DEFINITELY BE MISSED!!

As a Chelsea fan since 1967 and a season ticket holder,i am
delighted that Joe Cole is leaving.Joe has been good for Chelsea since he signed but not in the last two years. The injuries that he's had have taken there toll and he will never
be the same player and Carlo knows it.Trick after trick with no
end product.I know that Joe has always been a favorite of Chelsea fans but was he ever a regular. He certainly was never
picked before Robben or Duff.Watching Jesus Navas in the Spanish Cup final for Seville go at full backs with sizzling
pace and terrific crossing brought it home to me what we're lacking. It's all very well Joe coming up to the defender but then he kept passing back to Ivanovic or inside and we had to start all over again.Carlo knows what he want's and there is no
sentiment in football. If he had seen that Joe was so good he would have got what he wanted. His pace has gone and his race has been run.

I agree with THEBREEZE. Miroslav Stoch can play on the right or left with better delivery, better pace and definately a more incisive player.

Two years out of the game on and off was always going to be difficult for Joey to get back in and be consistent.

With the way the team was set up this season, Joey wasn't missed to a degree, but was always a threat to come on from the bench.

Still we have his goals against Man Utd to remember him by.

Miroslav Stoch SHOULD get a decent run in the team if the club decide not to send him out on loan as is rumoured - Am looking forward to be watching Stoch hopefully maintain his form for Slovakia as he showed for Twente in his title winning season.

Ive said my bits on Joe Cole in the last few weeks on here and on other sites and as bitter as i am i will be short and sweet on the subject

Joe Cole can f*ckoff as far away as possible its not the money its because he had a sulk because he wasn't getting enough games.Arsenal bound and i don't give a dame the tite Arsene gets another player for nothing.

Ballack it was written on the wall the guy wanted more time and money so it was inevitable and he had to part.Germany bound thats for sure.

Belletti i don't know the reason just yet for his departure was it that his contract finished or was it because of his demands i don't know but i will be really sad to see him go he was the fans favourite and he always gave 100 per cent when he played.

I think he will stay in England and there will be alot of clubs after this utility player and my incling is that he will go to West brom or maybe one of the other promoted teams.
