WE LOVE YOU FRANK

Before this afternoon's action, the draw for the 3rd Round of the Carling Cup was made and Chelsea were paired with Newcastle United - the tie to be played at Stamford Bridge - on Wednesday 22nd September - date to be confirmed. After this afternoon's game, the Boss announced that Super Frank will be having a hernia operation and will therefore miss England's two Euro 2012 qualifiers.
News to warm the cockles of the anti-'Fat' Frank Brigade and those who say that Super Frank CANNOT play alongside 'Ickle.'
Funny how no-body says that 'Ickle' CANNOT play alongside Super Frank.

The Boss 'Anco,' explained why Super Frank was subbed on the hour. He said, "Lampard has a problem on his groin.
"He had the surgery ten years ago and this week was not very good. He also didn't feel well in the game.
"So the only solution is to have surgery this week, maybe he will do this Tuesday or Wednesday. It mean he is not able to play for the national team.
"He'll be ready in one week or two weeks. We have experience because it is the same surgery as Drogba and Drogba took one week before he was able to train.
"It is not a big problem. It is very easy surgery but he needs it because he started to feel pain."
A lot of the above explanation goes along way to explain why Super Frank had such a poor game today and why he missed his first-half penalty.
