Not Quitting

The afternoon 'The Boss' Carlo Ancelotti make it quite clear to the gathering media vultures that he ISN'T about to quit as Chelsea's Boss/Coach/Technical Director or whatever you want to call him. This is a man who masterminded Chelsea's Double success last season and despite recent league defeats, WE ARE STILL TOP OF THE LEAGUE.
Not forgetting the 'Corrupt Cup,' Chelsea are on the verge of winning the group tomorrow night against the Slovakian minnows, MSK Zilina.
'Anco' wanted to address the vultures about tomorrow night's game but his plans were hijacked by constant questions from the 'hackers' audience.
'Anco' said, "I don't know if it is enough to clarify my position today to close this rumour and speculation. These rumours are totally untrue, I don't know why this rumour came out today in the papers.
"The LMA called me last night to understand what was happening, but I was at home. These rumours are totally untrue.
"I have my contract until 2012 here in this club, I said a lot of times I would like to stay here, that I love this club, I love these players and have a lot of confidence in these players and this squad so there is no readon to change my idea.
"I said before my aim is to stay in this club, this country, this atmosphere for a long time. I think it depends on me. In the last year I did a good job and this year I would like to do the same.
"My aim is to stay here, I don't want to say like Ferguson because I think it is impossible, but my aim is this. I would like to stay here."
The vultures in this morning's papers suggested it was 'Anco' who called the LMA for advice after the departure of Ray Wilkins. 'Anco' discounted this, he said.
"Because there was a dinner with the coaches and they wanted to know about these rumours, I said to them this is totally untrue. I read in the papers this morning that I called them, it is not true.
"I called nobody.
"There is no reason to think about my position. My position is very clear, I am the coach and I have to train my players and maintain the club to the best level.

"This moment is not so good on the pitch and we have to do better there, we have to stay in focus on this because this is the problem. The problem is on the pitch.
"This seasson we shoot 200 times on the goal, the first 10 times we shot we had 21% avergae converted. The last 100 shots, we had just 5% converted on goal, so this is the season we need to be more focused and concentrating on shots, the play of the team did not change.
"That is the reason and there we have to work."

Lots of "speculation" on the official chat site last night....a few claiming to have inside sources (!)..
1-2 journos reading and hey presto! A story!
"It is born out of hypocrisy and fundamental insecurity. There have been two kids on the block for the past 12 years. Suddenly, there is a third and that one is threatening to be more successful than the others and they don’t like it." P Kenyon.

What would we do if we didn't have the press to scapegoat instead.
