With most Chelsea fans hoping to see a reasonable quantity of youngsters starting for tonight’s “dead rubber” match at the Velodrome, the team news has made for disappointing reading. It seems clear that Ancelotti wants a win to boost confidence rather than the emphasis on kids being blooded further.

I would have been happy with a draw providing 2-3 kids started, the performance in terms of speed and movement lasted two halves instead of one and NO INJURIES before Spurs this Sunday.

Neil Barnett reckons there could be “some dodgy people from 30 years ago” turning up – this – coupled with Marseille’s notorious poor and provocative treatment of away fans could make for an unsavoury evening in the stands.
