Chelsea 0-0 FC Copenhagen (Chelsea Win 2-0 on Agg)

Last Eight Unlike Arsenal

It is just as well Anelka scored a brace in the Parken three weeks ago, because last night at The Bridge a whole host of chances were created and a whole host of chances were wasted. Perhaps Messrs Didier, Anelka and Torres left their shooting boots at the Parken as souvenirs of their visit.

Chelsea may have deservedly won the tie overall, but the battle in the stands was comprehensively won by the Danes to go with their friendly fan football match which was won earlier in the afternoon.

The cold must have got to the faithful. As predicted in Dixon's preview last night's seats were 'dressed' but they weren't dressed to kill.

The atmosphere was dire, dreadful and completely lacking in support. So much so, the Danes enjoyed taking the mickey out of us to which no response was offered by anyone wearing the colour Blue.

Still, more importantly Chelsea are into the last eight. Progress on last season and there are some tough opposition teams waiting for us in the quarter-final draw which takes place Friday morning.

As Torres said post-match, "It doesn't matter who we draw, at the end of the day if you want to win the Champions League, if not in the quarter-finals then the semi-finals or the final you will have to play against the best teams in Europe (including UEFA's favourites.... Ed), so it doesn't matter who we have to play against."
