Wigan Preview: Cheering For What?
COME ON CHELSEA

Let's start with the obvious. Another 8-0 would be nice, repeating last season's title winning day, especially after Wednesday's major stripe up or howabout another 6-0 from the start of this season at the JJB (really seems such a long time ago). There's no FA Cup, Carling Cup or Premier League title to go for - all out of our hands - or knocked-out!!
So what are we cheering Chelsea for against Wigan at The Bridge this afternoon?
Three points would be good.
Three points for what?
Another Champions League campaign where we can cruise through the group stages and then get to the knockout stages, then the 1/4s as we've done so far this season and like the last two seasons, get dumped on, striped up by the slug face Platini and his suits at UEFA.
What's the point of Chelsea being in the Champions League?
HEARTBREAK
For me there is a conspiracy against Chelsea winning the Corrupt Cup.
Consider this.
The last penalty Chelsea won in a knockout stage was in the 1/4 final against Liverpool at The Bridge in the thrilling 4-4 draw, which Super Frank converted days after his mother passed away.
Since then and including last Wednesday, Chelsea SHOULD have been awarded SEVEN penalties - Barcelona = 4, Inter Milan = 2 and Man Utd = 1.
There is no glory, there is no sympathy and I bet UEFA spit on every cheque they have to send to Chelsea after each 'corrupt cup' game played.
As for today's game, Ancelotti has indicated changes from Wednesday night.
One player returning from long-term injury is Alex who will definitely be on the bench.
Ancelotti said, "Alex is ok, he is fit. He doesn't start tomorrow but he will be involved on the bench. So I hope we can give him 30 to 35 minutes just to test his condition."
