I have never experienced the noise of celebration and jubilation that reverberated around Stamford Bridge once Fernando Torres smashed the ball in West Ham's net at the Matthew Harding end of Stamford Bridge. The noise was deafening and so loud, masking the sounds of thunder in the skies above Stamford Bridge.
I have never, ever known such joy, relief, emotion and outpouring of celebration as Torres was bundled over by his jubilant team-mates by the corner-flag in front of my seat.
The fans around me were in ecstasy.
Jumping, shouting, screaming as Torres lay under the mountain of bodies in celebration of his first goal for Chelsea after umpteen games and hundreds of minutes.
It was an incredible few minutes and the celebrations continued through Malouda's goal, Chelsea's 3rd (set-up by Torres) and way after the final whistle had blown.
Chelsea took the lead a couple of minutes before half-time.
Drogba found Cole down Chelsea's left with a diagonal ball, Cole crossed accurately for Lampard to hit the ball high into West Ham's net.
To be fair and objective. West Ham didn't deserve to lose by three.
They created enough of their own chances to go home with at least a point and how on earth Robbie Keane missed his chance when clear - a sitter - only he knows!!
The day though was all about Torres' 1st goal, the thunder, the lightning (which took out the Stamford Bridge lights), the rain, the noise, the celebrations and the result.
