Despite losing twice to Man Utd at Old Trafford last season (League and Corrupt Cup), Chelsea still have a decent record at the 'Theatre of Dreams', winning 19 times and drawing 24. Not a lot of teams can boast the same sort of record.
Chelsea are due a win at Old Trafford, hopefully it will happen today, as in the last ten games in all competitions, Chelsea have won three
Our last victory at Old Trafford was back in April 2010, 2-1, which secured Chelsea's third title under the tenureship of Mr Abramovich.
As AvB pointed out in one of his many conferences during the big build-up, what is the difference between the age of our squad and theirs?
Really there is none.
Utd won the title last season with their 'oldies' - van Der Sar, Giggs, Scholes and the like and we have won it with ours - three times in fact with Super Frank, JT, Cech, Anelka, Drogba etc, so really, Utd's first team coach Rene Meulensteen is talking out of his 'where the sun doesn't shine.'
Meulensteen said, "Their squad is too old and their tempo is not high enough to win the Premier League" (someone give him a history lesson...... Ed... WE HAVEN'T GOT ANY HISTOREEE!!).
AvB replied, "I find it strange he would say something like this when we have all seen the importance of Giggs, van Der Sar, Scholes to Man Utd.
"Only this week Giggs was scoring in the Champions League and being praised by everyone.
"What's the difference between that and some of the players we have?
"We may have one of the older teams in the League but look at the trophies these players have won.
"They have a lot to offer and you just have to find the correct balance between youth and experience."

And then it's the big one between Manchester United and Chelsea. For a fixture that's always hyped up to preposterous levels, it's a bit of an oddity, in that it nearly always delivers one way or another. United's record against Chelsea at home is, for a club that keeps winning the league, not all that: seven wins, seven draws, and five losses in the Premier League era. And in the quarter century before that, when United were truly awful, check this out: United one win, eight draws, eight Chelsea wins. Chelsea are no Arsenal, is what we're getting at here.

9/1 to score the first goal....not bad odds at all.
