Chelsea 3-0 Wolves: RIP Gary Speed

The footballing world was shocked and stunned when the news broke of the tragic death of Wales coach, Gary Speed. Manager's, coaches, players and true footballing fans the length and breadth of the United Kingdom are in mourning for Gary who in his playing days was an immaculate and consumate professional.
We send our deepest and sincere condolences to Gary's family, friends and to everyone connected to the clubs he played for and managed - Leeds United, Everton, Newcastle United, Bolton and to Sheffield United where he cut his managerial cloth albeit for a short period.
We predicted that Wolves would arrive at The Bridge as 'difficult' opponents on Saturday but as it turned out the result was a foregone conclusion once Captain, Leader, Legend and One England Captain, John Terry headed Chelsea into the lead after six minutes from a Mata corner.
A goal that lifted the hesistancy and nervousness from the Stamford Bridge faithful.
AvB made changes by dropping Super Frank and Malouda to the bench, bringing in Romeu and Meireles with a front three of Sturridge, Mata and Drogba.
Sturridge, who was very lively all afternoon, scored Chelsea's 2nd and then right on half-time Mata got the third with a sweeping shot from just outside the six yard area.
Wolves improved greatly in the second-half and were denied a consolation goal when Cechie Boy made a double save with his legs.
With much tougher tests on the horizon, let's hope Saturday's victory and performance, will be the morale and confidence booster needed within the halls of Cobham.
I am all for AvB's bravado and optimism and I fully commend him for it, but to proclaim that Chelsea can still win the title, for me is a little far fetched.

Gary Speed: It just doesn't make sense. I suppose it doesn't matter how successful or respected you are in your profession, if you have personal problems it affects you and is capable of affecting you deeply. I still can't believe it's true. What a shame he felt he couldn't turn to anybody...
