Chelsea 1-1 Fulham: He Missed it Again!!

Fulham came to The Bridge, parked their bus, Ashley Cole went walkabout (probably to look for the bus driver), Ruiz whipped in a low cross, Cech floundered, missed it (AGAIN) and Dempsey was on hand to steer the ball into an empty net for an undeserved equaliser.

Senderos started the move and was allowed to race upfield before guiding a header out to the right for Ruiz to produce his magic.

Drogba was on the bench and Torres played a full 90 minutes (which was a miracle in itself) and apart from a wonderful piece of skill when collecting a Mata cross on his chest and volleying into Stockdale's body, Torres further goalscoring opportunites were extremely limited.

Torres assisted for Chelsea's first when battling to control the ball, Mata swooped in and swivelled, directing his low shot into the right hand corner of Stockdale's net.

Chelsea's other chances, although few and far between, came from long range efforts and simply and basically panic shooting.

In the last ten minutes, when Chelsea did get through Fulham's stubborn defence, Chelsea rushed their efforts and in particular from a wonderful Luiz ball, Drogba controlled the ball, lined himself up and scuffed his shot straight into the arms of the fortunate Stockdale.

Laugh!?! I could have cried.

Chelsea's main problem yesterday was there was nobody intelligent enough to calm things down in an extremely packed midfield, play it simple and be creative.

Young Josh McEachran was on the bench. I need to say no more!

Ramires was certainly missed yesterday.

For me the transfer window cannot come quickly enough and it will be interesting to see how quickly Chelsea react once the clock tick tocks through to 01/01/12.

If you believe a certain red-top rag, AvB is getting £150m to spend and we know Bolton's Gary Cahill is top of the list. Who else remains to be seen, although AvB said yesterday there 'maybe' another player and Chelsea will not be 'that active' in the transfer window.
